All We Need is BIG Brother Obama , I share the same "second saviour" feeling with you.   In my article Obama is another Pres. Carter,  I agree with you about 2010 and 2012.  Anyway, we have a great democracy to self-correct a mistake.  Just hope we can overhaul its inherent defects before a monster comes out. To Carlie: You said: "I think that the President is doing the right thing so far."  Well, I think Obama is driving our vehicle to the wrong way so far.  He always repeats: "it is a tough decision to be made" that implied there are upside and downside in his every decision.  How conclusive he may have to say it is the right thing to do?  I don't know, all I can say is this is possible that he is not 100% sure about the positivity of result. It may create a negative effect beyond his imagination. You said: "For sure we were going no where but down with the last administration. So here is hoping this one with it's action plans will be different."  I don't mind to keep hoping, that is the only way for an incurable optimist like me and explains why I assume Obama has a good heart and kind intention.  But how can you say "for sure" when we look at the History which tells us different possibility may come out?  Recently, as George Bush and Barack Obama have done when they are trying to blackmail us by so-called "urgency," many people hold the same assumption that: "We have immediate need to do something NOW to correct the trend. All We Need is BIG Brother Obama,  there is an almost perfect case.  In just 3 years, nature course has done its job to bring the housing market where only 3% of people can afford back into the affordable one in which about 70% can own a house.  Did anything done by GWB help its happening?  No, as you said, the GWB boys were going nowhere.  The only thing they did is making it even worse.  However, we the people didn't die; and "the Invisible Hand" said by Adam Smith works itself out basically. First, please look back at your personal life, you will agree with me that, so many times and cases, doing nothing is much better than doing the wrong things as President Truman once said, in his decision of intervention into China, "Let's the dust rest."   Secondly, please look back at what came out of the policies made by Bush, Paulson and Benanke in the name of "urgency," i.e. they even made a claim to the lady Pelosi that the only way to "save" us is to pass the law in "ONE DAY" for them to implement the first 800 Billion Rescue plan.  Sounds like otherwise we die?  But did we die?   So, how sure you are about Obama even you don't see there is basically no "approach" difference between Paulson and Gaithner? Then, look at the same numbers at UDN.  There is no reason for me at all to mingle with UDN chickens, ducks and zambies.  It is also very clear that there is no rationality or personal respect in UDN, only to get myself insulted.   No need to be in UDN, except my sincere concern over my homeland and my people, as well as my appreciations towards my teachers and KMT Party who gave me a chance to grow and learn. I shall overcome it and erase my existence in UDN.
