引子
在小林公祠遇到一位清潔婦。她是小林村滅村的倖存者。當晚雨勢猛烈，她到村子外緣察看車子時，山坡崩塌，全家罹難。她的先生原在大城市工作，因思念家鄉，舉家搬回小林村還不到一年就全沒了；鄰居一家九口都被活埋；另一位鄰居是越南新娘，因在甲仙打工補貼家用，逃過此劫，但全家人就沒了。她們兩位結為姐妹，相依為命。聽她娓娓訴說著，當年能夠掘出的少數屍體都是支離破碎的，以及這十年的心路歷程，還要每天來這裡工作，面對一座座墓碑的無奈。在震耳欲聾的秋蟬鳴聲中，聞之令人鼻酸！

Once I possessed the wide of vision, let my eyes gallop there
Once I possessed the fresh air, let my breathe handle there
Once I possessed the sweet-sounding bird chirp, let my ears enjoy there
Once I possessed the fluttering butterfly, let my dream fly there
Once I possessed the cordial face, let my friendship open there
Once I possessed the sincere words, let my pure ferment there
Once I possessed the leisure feeling, let my childishness spray there
Once I possessed the vivid limitless, let my figure run and chase there
Oh, I once so wealth
Oh, I once so happy
Oh, I once so satisfy
And now, where’s the once?
And now, where’s the possession?
The wealth, the happy, the satisfaction…
Oh, come back, I want as the same as the former days
To possess them truly! To cherish them truly!@
