寫作需要各種單字、片語，練習造句是記住生字最好的方法。

先收集某一類的單字，然後，造句練習使用這些新字或片語，從活動到嗜好到每天的工作或學習(或利用分類好的英文圖卡)，如此，架構起你的單字庫。

示範:

現在的腳踏車多裝車頭燈 (headlight) 和尾燈 (taillight)，或統稱 LED light。讓我示範將 LED light 這單字，套入三種子句練習(當然，你也可以從簡單句開始)：

a. 形容詞子句 – 形容詞子句功能和形容詞一樣，很適合用來說明、解釋被修飾的名詞。

An LED light is something that you need for bike rides at night.

b. 副詞子句 – 副詞子句功能和副詞一樣，用來修飾動詞或形容詞。

It is dangerous when you ride the bike in the dark without lights on.

c. 名詞子句 – 名詞子句在句中扮演…名詞該扮演的角色。

It is important that you have both an LED headlight and a taillight on your bike for a pleasant and safe night ride.

我用三種不同句型將LED light這個單字和騎自行車串聯起來，加深我對這個字的印象，更重要的，我也同時學會如何使用它。

當然，若想進一步加強寫作能力，可以將上面三句，加上一些描述(藍色字部份)，變成下面一段寫作：

An LED light is something that you need for bike rides at night. It is dangerous when you ride the bike in the dark without lights on. You may not be able to see the road, and drivers probably cannot see you clearly, either. Accidents happen easily. Therefore, it is important that you have both an LED headlight and a taillight on your bike for a pleasant and safe night ride.
