This is Taipei’s public bicycle rental system, and it was created for just this situation. Launched in 2009, this bike sharing program has only grown in popularity and demand since it is affordable and green. There are currently close to 2,600 bicycles at 80 YouBike rental sites located throughout the city. Plus, plans are in the works to more than double the number of bicycles and sites by the end of 2013. The best part about YouBikes is that members get the first 30 minutes for free.
