英文介紹:Amorphaphallus Konjac C. Koch (Konjac) is originated in tropical and subtropical zones in east hemisphere. This perennial herb has the spherical rhizome. Its root scars will remain on bulbs after roots comes off. Leafy stalks are trigeminal. Growth arrangements of its fasciculate r leaves are similar to that of Birds’ Claws. The long immature leaf is in oval shape and the paralleling veins are protrusive on both sides. The above-ground herb will hibernate in winterand its blossoming season is spring. Fruit-bearing comes earlier than leaf growth. The unique-shaped flowers can only be seen when they sprout out of the ground. Flowers spread a carrion odor in blossoming season for attracting insects to spread pollens. Konjac foods are made by this species’ tubular stems.
