A Hero of Giving 默默行善的英雄──陳樹菊女士 2012年 02月18日 

Born in 1950, Chen Shu-chu had to grow up quickly because her mother died when she was young. Chen took the responsibility of caring for her seven other siblings. She also helped her father at the family's vegetable stall, which is the same one she runs today. When Chen was 18, her brother became very ill and caring for him used up all the family's savings. As a result, a local teacher started a donation drive to raise money for the hospital bills. Unfortunately, Chen's brother did not make it. However, she was so grateful for the help and for everyone's kindness that she vowed to do the same when she could.
