Mike老師很不喜歡讀「中文式英文」
偏偏這種錯誤百出的怪英文無所不在
而又以《中英雙語新聞》集其大成也
相信編輯群已經使出渾身解數盡力了
但英文基礎不好再怎麼努力還是沒用
這篇新聞劈頭的第二個句子仍然沒寫對
而且相同錯誤在第三個句子裏再度出現
可見根本是觀念錯誤而非筆誤

國中生都知道兩個(含)以上相同詞性的字詞相連接
必須使用「對等連接詞」(Coordinating Conjunction)
同學們請參考 Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English
以及 The Elements of Style 中詳盡的說明 (如下圖)

故原句
More than 200 companies including TSMC, Foxconn Technology Group, Delta Electronics Inc. participated in this event.

應改為
More than 200 companies including TSMC, Foxconn Technology Group, and Delta Electronics Inc. participated in this event.

同理
原句
..., it also provided career counseling, lectures on experience sharing by alumni.

應改為
..., it also provided career counseling and lectures on experience sharing by alumni.

另外一個怪現像是亂用「介係詞」
大家特別喜歡濫用 "in"
好像中文的「在」=英文的 "in"
所以中文「在校園」= in campus
才會有以下這樣的寫法
NTU said that 50 career seminars will be initiated in campus within the next two weeks ...

可惜根據朗文英英字典
正確用法應為 "on campus"
故原句應改為
NTU said that 50 career seminars will be initiated on campus within the next two weeks ...
