在亞錦賽名列亞軍的中華隊員，昨晚在慶功宴上開心獲頒銀牌獎章，這面獎牌是很多年輕選手生涯的第一面獎牌，感覺彌足珍貴，對五位前職棒球員許竹見、王信民、郭銘仁、張家浩與李明進來說，更是驚喜收穫，原本以為棒球路就此斷了，卻意外在中華隊獲得榮耀。

不同於許竹見與張家浩有豐富的國手經驗，郭銘仁、李明進與王信民都是升上成棒以來首度當選正式錦標賽的國手，而且最難得的是離開職棒才獲得這分榮譽，三個人都感到不可思議，更加珍惜為國家效力的機會，期待繼續為世界杯賽奮戰。

郭銘仁最開心了，靠著出色的打擊表現，獲選明星隊的最佳二壘手，他開心的說：「職棒打了這麼久都沒有得過獎，現在卻意外獲獎。」

王信民的感觸也很深刻，中信鯨隊剛解散時，認為不會再打棒球了，打算報考原住民特考，轉任警察或是消防隊員。正巧碰到台北市棒球隊招考，心裡又癢了，他說：「畢竟從小打球到大，說要放棄還有點捨不得。」

如願考進了台北市隊，有幸再圓棒球夢，也為王信民換來了首度當選國手的機會，面對未來，王信民不知能打多久，至少現在他想要再拚進九月的世界杯賽。

離開職棒的李明進，打算與老婆一起開個小店，卻驚喜走上國手路，在亞錦賽僅上場對決一人次，卻是很重要的對決，就是中日之戰八局上半三壘有人，K掉日本全能型打者長野久義，也是巨人軍在年底選秀會指名的新人，那個三振為中華隊穩住3比5落後的局面，八局下半才有機會追平比數。

面對世界杯賽，李明進表面上是低調以對，但心中仍滿心期待能再有機會入選最後國手名單。

年紀最長的張家浩是中華隊長，功能不完全是在場上，而是帶領年輕的菜鳥們面對國際比賽，他認為這批選手的潛力十足，只是缺少比賽經驗，假以時日他們會大有可為。

對日本之戰未投出水準的「竹子」也很懊惱，受到這陣子沒有出賽的影響，球威受限，但他對於挑戰世界杯賽仍充滿企圖心，期待再創生涯的另一個巔峰。

The collisions in the atmosphere electrically excite electrons to take quantum leaps (a mechanism in which the electron's kinetic energy is converted to visible light); and molecules in the upper atmosphere.
