Dear Friends,

ALEC has been EXPOSED! The American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) is a corporate front group that lets executives write self-serving "model bills" behind closed doors, then enacts them into law with the help of state lawmakers. Rather than acting as a tax-exempt charity, ALEC has proven to be yet another corporate lobby.

We invite you to attend a press conference and action on February 12th at 10:30 am at the Sacramento State Capitol where we tell our representatives -- Just say NO to ALEC! After the press conference citizens will deliver letters encouraging legislators not to support ALEC model bills and to withdraw from ALEC.

Join us at the State Capitol on February 12th.

If you can't make it on the 12th, or can, and want to do more, there's a second opportunity to get involved coming up! On February 18th, we'll continue the fight with our "Don't Fund Evil" campaign with actions at Yelp, Facebook, Google and Yahoo headquarters throughout the day urging them to withdraw from ALEC.
