Last Wednesday I stay at the school after class for looking Comet Lulin. On the top of the building where didn’t have any light pollution. All the building in the Pingtung city looked so small. Even the firework just looked like many pretty flowers glowed in the city’s stress with their short, brilliant life in such dark, silent sky. When everyone was relaxed in these wonderful scenes, however, the sky was being clouded. All the stars were covered with the clouds that making the dark night horrible. I laid down on the ground and stared those evil clouds, feeling they failing more and more lower. Imaging they had already eaten the stars and had tried to fallen. I felt disappointed. Then I closed my eyes, and made the prayer in my mind, hoping the light of the stars which symbolize justice could help me flight against the clouds. I made constant pray with my sincere heart. Finally, at p.m. , though the activity of star’s observation was going to end, the miracle just happened. All the clouds were gone and the stars showed up glowing in the sky again. My classmate who is the member of geoscience’s association adjusted the telescope and found the Saturn, the planet in the sixth orbit in our solar system. Everyone who was present were so excited and lined up in a row with an expectant heart, and so did I. I saw it! The Saturn surrounded with its rings looked like the musical note “Do”.2009 is not only the international year of astronomy but my first year of astronomy. I will cherish this wonderful experience. Fire work, stars, the Saturn and the clouds which I stared for the longest time in this activity all impressed me. Thought the comet Lulin showed up after the activity, it’s still worth.
