波音新星飛上空 處女航超完美

（法新社華盛頓州西雅圖20日電） 美國航空界巨頭波音公司（Boeing）最新最大的747-8洲際飛機（747-8Intercontinental）今天處女航，不但航空迷追逐，波音的歐洲對手—空中巴士（Airbus）也密切關注。

747-8洲際飛機是波音公司經典雙層747飛機的改良款。在波音西雅圖總部附近的潘恩機場（Paine Field），747-8洲際飛機於當地時間上午9時58分（格林威治時間16時58分）在工作人員和來賓萬眾矚目下，飛入清朗無雲的天際。

漆成紅白橘三色的747-8在4小時後，降落在華盛頓州。試飛駕駛員費耶斯坦（Mark Feuerstein）表示，「它飛得超完美。」他說，雖然747-8還要經過好幾個月的飛行測試才能通過審核，「但其實它現在就可以立刻上工了。」

波音這款最大的客機專為長途航空設計，3級客艙能搭載467名乘客。波音747-8將成為世界最大客機—空中巴士A380的勁敵。

原版波音747首席工程師沙特（Joe Sutter）也在來賓之列，為了慶祝他22日過90大壽，第1架波音747-8特地漆上了他姓名的縮寫「JFS」致意。

[據美國波音公司網站2011年2月13日報導]波音公司全新的747-8“洲際”客機今天正式在埃弗雷特下線，該機採用了許多應用於波音787的新技術，內飾與787相似。大韓航空公司及漢莎航空等客戶共訂購了33架747-8I，按照目前的時間表，首架747-8I將在今年第四季度交付。

Boeing Celebrates Premiere of New 747-8 Intercontinental

EVERETT, Wash., Feb. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Boeing (NYSE: BA) today unveiled its new 747-8 Intercontinental, the new high-capacity passenger airplane that offers airlines the lowest operating costs and best economics of any large passenger airplane while providing enhanced environmental performance.

Approximately 10,000 guests, including customers, Boeing employees, government officials, partners and suppliers, gathered in the factory in Everett, Wash., to witness the premiere of the Intercontinental at an event themed "Incredible, Again." Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Albaugh said the newest 747 incorporates technological advancements that make it an extremely productive airplane for customers.

"The new 747-8 Intercontinental features the latest in innovative technologies — applying many of the breakthroughs also found on the 787 Dreamliner," said Albaugh. "We think our customers will value the low operating costs and passengers will enjoy the comfort of the striking new interior."

Korean Air and VIP customers have joined launch customer Lufthansa in ordering a total of 33 747-8 Intercontinentals. First delivery of the 747-8 Intercontinental is scheduled for the fourth quarter.

"As the only airplane in the 400 to 500-seat market, the 747-8 Intercontinental will give operators an airplane perfectly suited for long, heavily traveled routes around the world," said Pat Shanahan, vice president and general manager, Airplane Programs, Boeing Commercial Airplanes. "The new 747-8 Intercontinental will set a new standard in economic and environmental performance, while providing a world-class passenger experience."

The 747-8 Intercontinental will have the lowest seat-mile cost of any large commercial jetliner, with 12 percent lower costs than its predecessor, the 747-400. The airplane provides 16 percent better fuel economy, 16 percent less carbon emissions per passenger and generates a 30 percent smaller noise footprint than the 747-400. The 747-8 Intercontinental applies interior features from the 787 Dreamliner that includes a new curved, upswept architecture giving passengers a greater feeling of space and comfort, while adding more room for personal belongings.

The airplane unveiled today is painted in a new Sunrise livery of red-orange that only will appear on the first 747-8 Intercontinental and is a significant departure from Boeing's standard blue. The new color palette honors many key Boeing customers whose cultures recognize these colors as symbols of prosperity and good luck.

波音787飛行試驗進入新關鍵時期

【據英國《飛行國際》2010年8月6日報導】波音787的飛行試驗即將進入一個新的關鍵階段，到達美國西南部的機場進行飛行包線試驗。ZA001號將在愛德華茲空軍基地進行短暫的起降試驗和一些取證試驗，隨後將前往新墨西哥州進行氣動刹車取證試驗，以驗證強度和效果。與其它的取證試驗一樣，787開始進行試驗後需要詳細定義性能，完成必須的所有試驗以及所有的基礎試驗。

Arduous phase of flight-test effort awaits Dreamliner

Boeing's 787's flight-test programme is nearing its most gruelling phase with a forthcoming visit to remote airfields in the south-west USA to sharpen the edges of its operating envelope.

The lead flight-test aircraft ZA001 will shortly position to Edwards AFB in California for take-off and landing validation and certification testing, which includes velocity minimum unstick trials that will see the rear fuselage deliberately scraped along the runway to establishing minimum flying speeds.

It will then go to Roswell, New Mexico for aerodynamic braking certification, to test the strength and effectiveness of its stopping ability in the event of a rejected take-off at maximum weight.

"Just like any certification programme, you start it up, you have to go define the performance. We've done all the testing that we need to do. We do all the safety, all the fundamental testing, we've done all that and now it's our job to go out and take the airplane and find every ounce, every inch of performance," says 787 chief pilot Mike Carriker.

By early August, Boeing had completed more than 1,418h of flight-testing over more than 450 flights, including 1,300h of 2,430h planned for the four Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-powered aircraft.

ZA001 has completed low-speed aerodynamic validation and certification testing, while ZA002 has been on remote hot weather testing at Sacramento Mather airport in California and Yuma, Arizona.

After ZA003's return from Farnborough, the aircraft was used, along with further interior testing, for validation and certification of the Boeing check-pilot training course. ZA004, based in Victorville, California, has been continuing its flight loads survey, validating the loading assumptions Boeing made during windtunnel testing, while late July brought handling testing in limit winds for ZA005 - the first of two General Electric GEnx-1B powered 787 test aircraft.

Programme sources say the maiden flight of the second GEnx-1B Dreamliner (ZA006) may slip into early September. Boeing maintains it has made no change to its August guidance, however.

First deliveries to launch customer All Nippon Airways are due by year-end, but could slip "a few weeks" into early 2011.

 (中央社台北 21 日電 )40年前首架波音747投入民航服務，40年後的今天，有「747之父」美譽的波音航空工程師沙特 (Joe Sutter)在英國法恩堡 (Farnborough)航空展中，獲頒全球飛行終生成就獎最高榮譽。

沙特 40 多年前帶領團隊發展波音 747 噴射客機計畫，波音商用飛機公司表示，沙特 20 日在英國法恩堡航空展中，獲國際飛行雜誌 (Flight Internationalmagazine) 宣布為首屆全球飛行終生成就獎得主。

國際飛行雜誌編輯莫里森 (Murdo Morrison) 表示，沙特縮小了地球，幫助數以千萬計的旅客旅程更為稱便。他指出，40 年以來，波音 747 依舊是獨特且先進的設計，她的機身線條優美，不會被認錯，而最重要的是，747是航空客運與貨運業極高效率的飛行器。

沙特在 1946 年以空氣動力專家的身分加入波音公司，曾經參與過波音 377、Dash-80、707、727、以及737 等機型發展計畫；1965 年他成為 747 計畫的首席工程師，開創先河地提出雙走道廣體客機概念。

Boeing has declared its new 747-8 freighter as ready for its maiden flight, following the completion of high-speed taxiing tests.

The aircraft is scheduled to conduct its first sortie at Boeing's facility in Seattle today.

During the taxiing tests - the final operational check before the flight trials begin - the aircraft reached a speed of around 90kt.

Boeing's 747 programme vice-president Mo Yahyavi says that the aircraft "performed well" during the tests, which ended on 6 February.

"Based on early indications, the airplane is ready to fly," he adds.

Boeing is to undertake some 1,600hr of flight tests of the General Electric GEnx-2B-powered aircraft before first delivery to Cargolux in the fourth quarter of this year.

Boeing has targeted 8 February for the maiden sortie of its 747-8 Freighter, one day shy of the 41st anniversary of the type's first first in 1969.

The company says that the first flight window will open at 10:00 PST (1800 GMT).

Sources close to the programme say that taxi tests are planned for Saturday and Sunday before the new freighter is cleared to fly on Monday, at which point weather will be the deciding factor for the green light to fly.

Chief project pilot Mark Feuerstein and engineering test pilot Tom Imrich will take the first 747-8F, designated RC501, on it's first flight from Paine Field at the company's Everett, Washington facility.

The first flight will kick off a certification campaign that will culminate in the first delivery to Luxembourg-based Cargolux in the fourth quarter of 2010.

    新華網舊金山２月８日電（記者毛磊）美國波音公司的７４７－８型飛機８日完成第一次試飛。這是繼去年１２月份波音７８７型“夢想”客機“處女航”之後，又一款實現首飛的波音新機型。

    波音發布的新聞公報說，當天執行首飛任務的是一架波音７４７－８型貨機，試飛在美國華盛頓州進行，持續近４小時，共有５０００多名波音員工、客戶、供應商和當地政府官員現場觀看。作為波音的最新款貨機和迄今制造的最大型飛機，它的首飛成功是波音７４７－８型客貨機項目取得的又一重要進展。在未來幾個月中，另外兩架飛機也將加入試飛行列，７４７－８型貨機的測試飛行總計將超過１６００小時。

    波音于２００５年１１月份啟動了包括洲際飛機和貨機在內的７４７－８項目。作為波音７４７家族的最新成員，這款飛機結合了波音７４７的經典設計和波音７８７型“夢想”客機所採用的一些創新技術。波音說，與此前的波音７４７飛機相比，７４７－８機型容量更大、成本更低、更高效、更環保。
