美造船廠開始為海軍建造首批兩艘DDG1000戰艦

防務新聞網2008年2月15日報導 2008年2月14日,美國海軍授予DDG-1000驅逐艦的兩個主要建造商28億美元合同,開始建造前兩艘DDG-1000“朱姆沃爾特”級驅逐艦。
通用動力公司將在巴斯鋼鐵造船廠建造“朱姆沃爾特”號(DDG-1000)驅逐艦;諾•格公司將在英格爾斯船廠建造DDG-1001號驅逐艦,目前該艦還沒有命名。
“朱姆沃爾特”號驅逐艦計畫於2013年6月交付,諾•格公司的DDG-1001計畫2014年7月交付。目前諾•格公司和通用動力公司正在共同完成該級驅逐艦的最終詳細設計。諾•格公司負責建造DDG-1001,還將建造DDG-1000的上層建築和機庫。巴斯鋼鐵造船廠將建造DDG-1001船體的中部和前部。
這級新驅逐艦每艘的標價為33億美元,不過美國海軍希望這個價格隨著訂購數量的增加而降低。但非政府分析家預測該級驅逐艦價格將更高,甚至達到每艘50億美元以上。

BATH, Maine, Feb. 14 /PRNews(商業新聞)wire-FirstCall/ -- The U.S. Navy has awarded Bath Iron Works, a subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), a $1.4 billion contract to build ZUMWALT (DDG 1000). The ship is scheduled to be delivered to the Navy in 2014.
The ZUMWALT class of ships represents the Navy's next generation of multi- mission surface combatants which will provide a broad range of capabilities that are vital both to supporting the global war on terror and to fighting and winning major combat operations.
