Temples, or rather the idols in the temples, were said to have been charged by great masters, and it was this charge or power which made possible this initiation. There was, therefore, no need to make repeated visits to temples after this solemn act of initiation had been achieved by surrender. A further point made was that in those days temples, or at least the more important ones, were in such out of the way places and accessible with such great difficulty, that a second visit was often completely precluded... It is now amply clear that without a great master to charge temples, the temples by themselves have no meaning whatsoever, and that when a Master capable of charging anyone or anything by transmission is available to personally charge not only the material objects like idols but even the human heart itself, it would be the height of folly to desert the Master for the temple.
