1. Primary goals of public beta testing for this product

The product is currently in - alpha/pre-alpha stage. Publishing an early build at this stage - will enable any interested party to start participating in beta testing of new Kaspersky Labs products. At this stage we are not focusing on small bugs, but rather the commentary about functional richness of the product, product component content distribution across subsystems and new product design including visual product forms. Critical error reports such as crashes/hangs of an operating system or the product itself will be invaluable to the developer team.

Primary commentary that we are waiting for:
1) reports about errors,
2) argumentative suggestions about product functionality and subsystem component allocation,
3) product results after testing on well known programs such as leak tests.

WARNING: installing this version for protection of regular workstations is strongly discouraged. This build did not pass testing procedures and quality assurance. Please use it at your own risk!

MAIN KNOWN BUGS

1. OS loading time will be highly increased after installing of this build
2. The product and OS can hang in case if "Ask" option is set in HIPS component
3. Th product can crash when Packet sniffer is active
4. It is impossible to make any actions in Threat list
5. Installation on Windows 2000 is NOT supported
6. Installation on top of current Kaspersky Labs products will cause serious problems.
