Article 11.

Security or guarantee or deposit money set forth in this Act may be provided as in the following ways:
（1） Cash.
（2） Bonds issued by the government.
（3） Time deposit certificates issued by a bank.
（4） Time deposit certificates issued by a credit cooperative.
（5） A one-year or more common trust certificate issued by a trust and investment company.
（6） A guarantee provided by a financial institution.
（7） Any other property approved by the Ministry of Finance which is easy for sale and custody, and free from any dispute over proprietary rights.
The security furnished in any of the forms specified in Subparagraphs（2）to（5）and （7）in the preceding paragraph shall be mortgaged or pledged to Customs..

爭論；爭執；爭端[C][U][（+about/over/with）]The dispute was settled last week. 爭端在上週解決了。

抵押[U][C]The bank refused to accept any mortgage on land. 銀行拒絕接受任何土地抵押。

抵押[（+to/for）]The house was mortgaged to the bank for fifty thousand dollars. 這所房子抵押給銀行借得五萬元。

抵押，典當品[C]She left her watch as a pledge with the taxi-driver. 她將手錶留給計程車司機作為抵押。

質押，典當[U]He put bonds in pledge for a loan. 他將債券作抵押以取得貸款。

保證，誓言[C][+to-v][+that]I gave him my pledge that I would vote for him. 我向他保證我將投他的票。
