only + 介係詞

only + 連接詞 + 句子.

You can succeed only by working hard.

=> Only by working hard can you succeed

#3. with 附加狀態 (not only ... but also ...)

not only + 倒裝句  but (also) + S + V

Bibo not only bullies Didi but also sexually harasses him.

=>Not only does Bibo bully Didi but also he sexually harasses him.

#進階1.倒裝句 Although / even though

Although S1 + V1 中間物 , S2 + V2

步驟1.中間物移到最前方.

中間物 although s1 v1 , s2 v2

步驟2. 改成 as / though

中間物 as(though) s1 + v1 , s2  + v2.

Even though he was sick, he still went to school.

=> Sick as he was, he still went to school.

Although Mary is a beautiful girl, she is cool.

a/an 刪除.

=>Beautiful girl as Mary is, she is cool.

#進階2.倒裝句  so ... that...

s1 + v1 so adj/adv that s2 +v2.

步驟1. 找到 so 到 that 前方字詞

步驟2. so 到 that 前方字詞 移到最前面

So adj/adv +s1 + v1 + that + s2 +v2.

步驟3. s1 v1 倒裝

步驟4. 後面句子不變

He is so diligent that he gets promoted.

=>So diligent is he, he gets promoted.

s1 + had + no sooner p.p. than + s2 +v2.

步驟1. no sooner 移到最前面

步驟2. s1 + had + p.p. 倒裝

No sooner had +s1 +p.p.+ than + s2 +v2.

步驟3. than 後面句子不變

Ex:

He had no sooner seen Mary than he blushed.

=> No sooner had he seen Mary than he blushed.
