動詞 consider 表「考慮；認為」之意
(1) 用於主動句時，其後可接名詞、動名詞或 that 子句
consider + N / V-ing / that S + V 考慮……
Jack didn’t consider the possibility that he might be in the wrong job.
Rita considered ordering Chinese food but decided to eat hamburgers instead.
The judge considered that the defendant was a minor when deciding his jail sentence.
(2) 用於被動句時，其後可接名詞、形容詞、不定詞
be considered + (to be) + N / Adj 被認為……
+ to V
Thomas Edison is considered one of the greatest inventors in history.
Professor Wang is considered to know more about Taiwanese history than anyone else in the world.
表達「認為 A 是 B，把 A 視為 B」時
consider / think + A + ( to be ) + N / Adj 認為 A 是……
= consider / take / regard / see / view / recognize + A + as + N / Adj
= think of / look (up)on / refer to + A + as + N / Adj
Terry considers his father (to be / as) the smartest person in the family.
= Terry takes / regards / thinks of / looks (up)on his father as the smartest person in the family.
「V + O + as + N / Adj」句型亦常搭配下列動詞
define（定義）/ describe（形容；描述）/ depict（描述）/ speak of（談到；論及）. ..+ O + as + N / Adj
The word stereotype is defined as a fixed idea about a certain group of people.
