1. rise      不及物動詞 (vi)  上升  (後面不得加受詞)

2. raise     及物動詞(vt)      提高;撫養;籌(款)  (後面得加受詞)

raise raised raised

I once raised a dog as a pet.

A policeman raised his hand to stop traffic.

The boss has decided to raise their base salaries.

n. 提高; 加薪

I'm going to ask for a pay raise.

3. arise  [əˈraɪz]   不及物動詞 (vi) 

   起因於 (與from並用)

arise arose arisen

• 1. 升起，上升A heavy mist arose from the lake. 
• 湖面起了濃霧。
• 2. 產生，出現，形成[（+from/out of）]Unexpected difficulties arose in the course of their experiment.
• 他們進行實驗的過程中，出現了意想不到的困難。

4. arouse [əˈraʊz]  及物動詞(vt)      激起 (興趣,憤怒的情緒)
