易搞混的副詞用法:

a. sometimes     有時候

此為頻率副詞(如 often ; never ; seldom 等),使用時通常置於句首,亦可置於句尾.

例:

Sometimes he comes here for a visit.

=He comes here for a visit somtimes

=He comes here for a visit every now and then.

=He comes here for a visit once in a while.

b. sometime      某時 (不知何時)

可用於過去式或未來式,使用時通常與另一明確的時間副詞或副詞片語並用.

I saw him sometime yesterday morning.

I'll be here sometime tomorrow.

c. some time     一段時間

I'll stay here (for) some time.

d. some times    有幾次

= a few times

=several times

I have been to Thailand some times. (劣)

=I have been to Thailand a few times. (佳)

=I have been to Thailand several times.(佳)
