例:

Some of his books have been widely read, while others have remaine relatively unknown.

When 和 While的用法大致相同, 同作連接詞  "當..."  用法 只有稍稍不同
Example: 

(When):When I took a bath, the phone was ringing. 

(While):While I was taking a bath, the phone rang. 

看出不同之處了吧 !?

 When後接句子用「簡單式」，而

 While後接「進行式」使用!!! 

再一個句子~ 

(When): Mother is cooking dinner when Dad come back home. 

(While): Mother cooks dinner while Dad is coming back home. ~~~~~~~~~~

when通常是用在 

當某事發生時... 
When she gets home, she usually takes a shower first. 

(She usally takes a shower first when she gets home.) 

當她回到家時,她通常都先洗個澡 

while指的是 

正當某事發生進行中的同時,另外一件事也正在進行中

She watches TV while she eats her meals. 

(She watches TV while eating her meals.)
