so為副詞,表[如此地]之後須接形容詞或副詞以供修飾,不得與名詞並用
例:
Kevin is so nice that we all like him.
Kevin studied so hard that he pass the exam.
若,so須與名詞並用時,僅能與含有形容詞的單數名詞並用,so之後須先置形容詞,接著接不定冠詞a/an,最後再接單數可數名詞.
so + adj + a/an + 單數可數名詞
例:
He is so nice a man that we all like him.
=He is such a nice man that we all like him.
注意:
若,so須與不可數名詞或複數可數名詞.並用時,之後須先置little 或 much 後再接不可數名詞,或須先置 few 或 many 再置複數名詞.
例:
With so little time left, I don't think I can finish the job.
I have so much work to do tonight.
He has so many friends that he seldom has time for his girlfriend.

such為形容詞表[如此的],可與單數,複數名詞,不可數名詞並用.
例:
Kevin is such a good student that all the teachers like him.
