Being A Leader

The school is not as boring as you think it is.

Campus Life: Grade 3

Roger: No 1 to 10. Who is the route leader?

Grandma: What is a route leader?

Roger: A route leader is responsible for leading the team to go home. The team has to line up and March from the classroom to the school gate. 

Grandma: Oh. How nice! What does the leader need to do?

Roger: The leader needs to hold a plate up to show the class number and give a command as 3, 2, 1 at the gate when seeing the teacher. And my classmates shall say, "Goodbye, Guidance Teacher!" to show gratitude to the teacher.

Grandma: It sounds interesting!

Roger: Yes. It is. So who is responsible for the job of Route Leader? Number 1 to Number 10.

Grandma: Number 10. 

Roger: Yes. How do you know?

Grandma: You are number 10. Are you very happy to be able to be the leader?

Roger: Haha. Yes. It's me. I am super happy.

Grandma: Did the teacher choose you to be the leader?

Roger: Yes. I was very excited at the moment when I knew that I was the one.

Grandma: Would you like to tell the teacher that you want to be a class leader next time?

Roger: A class leader? Why? No. 

Grandma: Why not? A class leader can help a lot. More than a route leader. 

Roger: No. A class leader does not have anything. A route leader has a plate to keep and hold. I am in charge of keeping the plate. 

Grandma: I see. The plate of honor. 

Roger: Correct. I love my new job.

Grandma: Congratulations!
