Earth Day -- April 22, 2010

Dear Children,
The sky is pretty gloomy. The cold and humid weather makes people feel like snuggling in bed, especially on Saturday. I wonder how you are. I hope that you are wearing enough clothes and stay warm.
Earth day was two days ago on April 22. If you missed the activity on that day, you might be in time to join the big event in Hsinchu today. I saw some of you following your parents to Hsinchu Xiangshan Qingqing Grass Field to plant baby trees this morning. I was there to plant my baby tree as well. I was deeply touched while seeing your little hands working hard to pick up soils and bury the roots no matter how windy and difficult it was for you to move. Your shoes were covered with mud. The land was slimy cause of the drizzle. And none of those could steal the smiles from your faces. I was there to plant a future and you, the future of all the adults, were making all of our dreams possible at the moment!
I am proud of you! There is something even small like you and big as I can do together for the earth and there are more missions for us to accomplish. Let's keep going for every single moment of our lives!
Love,
