My Favorite Story

The story I like most is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. It is about a big snake fight with Harry Potter.

The reason why I like the story is its exciting fighting scene. A flying car crashes into the whomping willow and the whomping willow tries to destroy the car.

I have learned to think for others instead of having evil ideas.

The Story I like most is Pinocchio. It is about a puppet. A carpenter makes a puppet, and one day the puppet talks with the carpenter, and he says who are you talking and Pinocchio jumps up and runs out of the house. He has an adventure and is in danger. A pigeon helps Pinocchio to escape and Pinocchio’s father also helps him. A fairy turns Pinocchio into a real boy in the end.

The reason why I like the story is because the plot is exciting and funny. Although the story is not true, I appreciate Pinocchio’s bravery and honesty.

Camilla’s Corner:

Dear Children,

You might find it very exciting to share stories with your friends. And it is easy for you to talk about what you like as well. However, when it comes to writing down the ideas, you may encounter some difficulties and have no idea what to write.

Writing is actually as easy as talking except that you might need to have a very good memory because you have to slow down your thinking a little bit to let your hands finish all the sentences on your mind. One more imporatant thing is to avoid repeating the same adjectives, verbs or nouns, thus your article might seem more attractive and interesting. It is very common that miswording might happen; therefore, while finish writing, read your own article out loud to see if it makes sense and double check if there is any grammar mistake or redundant information.

Practice makes perfect. I am sure that you will enjoy writing and will be able to have a lot of extraordinary thoughts to describe in your articles soon!

Love,

Camilla
