A Letter from Camilla to Children--2

    Dear Children,

  It is 2:13pm here in Seattle and the weather is lovely and pleasant. I am sure that it is going to be a very beautiful day for me to do some research.

  You might be curious about what research I am doing right now. Well, it is a long story. I will tell you some interesting parts of the research and make it easy for you to understand. Here are the missions that I have to do:

1.       Find all the dragons that have weird and funny ideas and can speak all kinds of human languages.

2.     Catch all the monsters hidden in this world.

3.     Make friends with fairies and genii.

4.     Jump into the ocean to send your regards to mermaids and play on a skim board with them. (I know how much you want to chat and play with mermaids as well and that is why I offer the help. I have to put on my wetsuit to keep me warm before diving. The water is ridiculously cold in the temperate area and you know that I do not feel that comfortable swimming in icy water.)

5.     Knock on the doors of the giants’ houses in the clouds to have dinner with their little babies and play SPIKE with them after dinner. (Playing SPIKE is as easy as playing UNO. I am sure that you will like the game too.)

6.     Work on a science project with extraterrestrial creatures in a cave on a deserted land at night. (They are afraid of being spotted by adult human beings because adults might send them to a lab and confine their movements and make them feel like they are in prison even though they have not committed any crime or done anything wrong. Adult human beings somehow are scared of them and just not ready for their existence not to mention accepting them in the big cities. But they are very friendly with human kids because you are always ready to accept new and old things and would love to share secrets no matter where they are from, aren’t you? The most important of all is that you will never have any thoughts as capturing or barbecuing them. Oh. I forgot to tell you that they are the best secret keepers and the most brilliant scientists in the whole universe. The pyramids are the best proof of it. Just google the word “pyramid” then you will understand what I am talking about. Those pyramids are one of our science projects and they are invisible!)

It is only research but I have got A LOT to do. Now you know why I am extremely busy although I am on vacation. As a busy bee I am still happy. I might feel sad sometimes; however, the positive thinking enriches my life with love and keeps me away from the worries. This is very important because happiness is the source of dreams that bring hopes. I will tell you more about the research that I am doing while I return to Taiwan.
