A Pebble and A Wheel
by cAmilla Wu
Mid-winter afternoon, three or four birds swiftly flew by.
The palm trees streched themselves with yawns.
A careless cat was making friends with a cricket and a sqirrel.
They were too busy in socializing without noticing a wheel
was lying nearby.
The wheel had a forlorn look. He focused his attention upon his feelings of being lonely too much without paying attention to a pebble staying beside him. She was an adorable round silver pebble with a white strap on her chest. She had been here in this ocean park near the beach for decades. The wheel actually was a new comer. He was left here one day while a bicycle was too old to have any functions. He had no idea what had happened to the body of the bicycle. All he could remember, after a sound sleep one night, was that he was abandoned. That was probably the reason why he had the forsaken look.
