 Down by the salley garden my love and I did meet;

 She passed the salley garden with little snow-white feet.
她穿越莎莉花園，以雪白的小腳。

 She bid me take love easy, as the leaves grow on the tree;
她囑咐我要愛得輕鬆，當新葉在枝椏萌芽。

 But I, being young and foolish, with her did not agree.
但我當年年幼無知，不予輕率苟同。

 In a field by the river my love and I did stand,
在河邊的田野，吾愛與我曾經駐足。

 And on my leaning shoulder she laid her snow-white hand.

She bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs;

這首樂曲本來是一首愛爾蘭的風笛曲,叫漫步神秘園,愛爾蘭女笛手Madden的作品,Joanie Madden第一張專輯裡的The Level Plain(Magh seola) 是一支在鋼琴聲背景下刻畫出令每個人都會心折的吹奏,直至沉醉在深切的悲情中,聽它千百篇. 當初只是很喜歡這個旋律，結果查了下歌詞，才發現這首詩歌的作者竟然是大名鼎鼎的William Butler Yeats 葉慈~~~
