華人取洋名的煩惱

很多華人取西洋名字其實是有些因素存在的.一些家庭的母語是英文,
孩子一出世就會給他們取個英文名,還有就是基督徒受洗後,牧師也會給
受洗者另取個christian name.

但有時名字加上姓就變的荒腔走調,笑話百出了.

以下這個典型的笑話是朋友寄給我的,我把它翻譯成中文,真的把我笑翻了!

Caller : Hello, can I speak to Annie Wan?
電話者：哈囉，我可以和Annie Wan(任何人）説話嗎？

Operator : Yes, you can speak to me.
接綫生：可以的，你可以和我說。

Caller： No, I want to speak to Annie Wan!
電話者：不，我要和Annie Wan(任何人）說！

Operator：You are talking to someone! Who is this?
接綫生：已經有人和你説了！請問您是誰？

Caller： I'm Sam Wan. And I need to talk to AnnieWan! It's urgent.
電話者：我是Sam Wan （某人），我有重要事必須和AnnieWan(任何人)説.

Operator: I know you are someone and you want to talk to
              anyone! But what's this urgent matter about?
  接綫生：我知道您是someone（某人）而想和anyone（任何人）説話!
           但是您的重要事件是什麽？

Caller：Well... just tell my sister Annie Wan that our brother
          Noel Wan was involved in an accident.
          Noel Wan got injured and now Noel Wan is being sent
          to the hospital.
         Right now, Avery Wan is on his way to the hospital.
電話者: 好吧......只要告訴我（任何人）的姐妹Annie Wan 說我們的兄弟
           Noel Wan （無人）遇上車禍。
           現在Noel Wan（無人）受傷。Noel Wan （無人）被送往醫院
           現在，Avery Wan（每個人）都在去醫院的途中。

Operator：Look if no one was injured and no one was sent to the
              hospital,then the accident isn't an urgent matter!
              You may find this hilarious but I don't have time for this!
接綫生：看！既然無人受傷亦無人被送往醫院，這説明這宗車禍並不是件
           嚴重的事！您可能覺得該爲此事歡呼，但我可沒這時間奉陪！

Caller:：   You are so rude! Who are you?
電話者：    你真的很無禮！你是誰？

Operator： I'm Saw Lee.
    接綫生：我是Saw Lee（抱歉）。

Caller： Yes! You should be sorry. Now give me your name!!
電話者：對！你是應該感覺抱歉的。現在把你的名字給我！！

Condi: That’s correct.

Condi: Yes, sir.

Get me the Secretary General of the U.N. on the phone. Ibet he knows.

Condi: Kofi?
賴斯：科費(咖啡)？
George: No, thanks.
布希：不,謝謝。
Condi: You want Kofi?

Condi: You don’’t want Kofi.
