I have a heartbeat just like everyone else in the world. Have you forgotten that I am a real person to? Is it so easy to forget because we do not speak face to face, but behind a computer screen. I am real, I have a family, friends, a home, I bleed from an open wound, I laugh when things are funny, and I cry when I am sad or my heart gets broken.
I have a heartbeat just like you. I feel a pain in the pit of my stomach when someone that I have chatted with for a while decides that it is time to move on and disappears. I have a favorite song, a favorite movie, a favorite color, I am real just like you even though you cannot see me.
I have a heartbeat and I know what it feels like to love and to be loved. I feel the rain as it falls down on me, I know the feelng of the warm sun as it shines upon me because just like you I am human.
I have a heartbeat and I know how to give, I know how to share, to trust, to want, and to need. I know how to be thankful and how to forgive. I can remember the days when I wanted and needed a friend and I found what is called the internet and chatrooms.
Why there are some people on the internet that seem to forget that those they are chatting with are real people. Did you know that some people come online because they are alone, sad, or depressed just hoping to find one person that they can call friend. Did you know that there are disabled people and aging people that come on the internet because it is their only link to the outside world. They to have a heartbeat just like you.
I have a heartbeat, like you. If we choose to use the internet it is so important to remember that those that we cannot see, might be sad and alone, broken hearted, troubled, disabled, we do not know. that is why we should chat with respect. Remember that just like you, they to HAVE A HEARTBEAT!!!!!
