A vast majority of the aircraft mentioned so far have been fighter jets. In all honesty that’s because more often than not, fighter jets are cooler than other planes. As true as that may be, very few planes come close to matching the uniqueness of the GR3.

See, your average jet needs a runway of at least several hundred feet to successfully become airborne; this is where helicopters reign supreme over airplanes. Nevertheless, the GR3 is different because it has the take off capabilities of a helicopter yet the range and maneuverability of an airplane. Despite its mean looks, the GR3 is better suited for reconnaissance and close-support than air-to-air combat.
