Love in London
CHAPTER XIX
After the ball, Sarah did not become happy, her heart has been immersed in sad tears, although she can still force a smile on the outside, but from Andrew's own words, she learned that he was going to marry that woman, so that Sarah's whole person seemed to fall into the abyss, as if she was a drowning person, unable to breathe.
The Duke's family vaguely felt that Sarah was very different after the ball, but they couldn't say what it was, and they didn't ask much, only Anne once wanted to find out the reason for Sarah's sadness, and Sarah pursed her lips and refused to reveal a word. Sarah is immersed in her own grief, and occasionally Elena comes to visit her and bring her some interesting or uninteresting news.
Elena knew what Sarah was upset about, but she couldn't help in the slightest, and on the other hand, the news of Andrew Green's upcoming marriage was spreading. After all, Earl Andrew Green is the most famous golden bachelor in the social circle, not to mention that he has a talent for painting, and he is deeply rewarded by the Queen, who asked him to paint a picture, which is hung in the royal guest room, which is the best proof that the Queen values Earl Green.
Sarah was so overwhelmed with such an irresistible sadness that she couldn't even write. Winter is approaching, and Sarah, anxious and sad, decides to escape the rumors of London. She first asked for the Duke and Duchess's permission, and then wrote to inform the Woods that she was going to Monte Manor to spend the winter with them.
The reply came quickly, and the Woods certainly welcomed Sarah back to stay with them, as they missed Sarah too. Sarah packed her belongings, the pen she used to write her favorite, said goodbye to her family, and set off to return to the place where she grew up.
As she got closer to the familiar scene, Sarah's sad thoughts slowly faded a little. Along the way, Sarah lamented that there were too many twists and turns in her life, but fortunately she met wonderful people, otherwise in the bad life, would she be able to break through adversity and strive to move forward?
Back at Monte Manor, the Woods gave her a warm welcome. When Sarah returned to her old home, her old habits returned, and she still called Mr. and Mrs. Wood mother and father, and treated the couple as if she had never left the house.
Sarah ran after the cows and sheep, watching the piglets wallowing in the mud and playing their favorite tunes in front of the little piano that she was accustomed to, and the Woods were very happy that Sarah was back, like a happy family never far away.
After a day of peace and happiness, Sarah gradually forgot the pain in her heart, and she picked up her pen again and struggled to write her fourth novel. When she has free time, she still goes horseback riding and gallops on the green hillside she loves, and the autumn scenery is pleasant, which can make people forget all the unpleasantness.
Then, winter came, and the snowy Manor de Monte, lacking a lot of greenery, had a depressed and charming taste. Sarah used her pen to write not only novels, but also previously unfinished prose, writing about everything in the manor that tugged at her heartstrings, with elegant and charming words.
Sarah's first essay was published before her fourth novel, and as a result, it received so good reviews that many men even thought that it was written by a man, because of the convention of the past, only a sensitive and meticulous man could write such a moving work at the time.
Sarah immersed herself in writing, regardless of whether she became famous or not, she finally knew that being able to write down her joys, sorrows and sorrows with a pen was the most important thing, and she had to sincerely reveal her true joys, sorrows and sorrows in order to resonate.
The fourth novel is almost finished, but Sarah wants to postpone sending it to the publisher because she has not yet thought of the ending of the hero and heroine in the fourth novel. The ending of the novel is very important, you can see the author's attitude, the process of the story is tortuous and moving, but what about the ending? The ending is like the author can control the fate of these characters, as if the author is the god of fate himself.
Sarah pondered her abilities, knowing that she had always liked happy endings, but the gods of fate would not give everyone in reality a happy and happy life. So, Sarah decided to put down the pen of writing first, and instead of chasing a blind ideal ending, she should think about things to be wary of.
Going out for inspiration is Sarah's favorite thing to do at the moment, and swimming in nature can wash away the dust of her body and mind, and more often than not, worry or dissatisfaction will be swept away, which is what Sarah needs most urgently at the moment.
When the weather was cold, Sarah didn't ride a horse, but walked around the estate, sometimes walking a little further to the nearby town to see something new. Sometimes some army would be stationed in the town, and the town would be much more lively, and sometimes Sarah would go up high and look out and think about how much she had been through, and she began to learn to see her luck, and her little misfortune.
If life is like candy, candy has many flavors, if life is like water, sometimes plain and calm, sometimes turbulent, if life is just a string of smoke clouds, then what expectations are just too much dependence.
On this day, it was snowing heavily, and Sarah was trying to walk back after going out. The snow was knee-high, almost impassable, and the sunset was hanging on the horizon, and it was getting dark. Sarah was a little flustered, she shouldn't have gone too far, because it was still a long way from the manor, and she didn't like dark places, as soon as the sun went down the mountain, it would be so dark that she couldn't see the light, let alone any beasts.
Sarah walked with difficulty step by step, trying to keep herself from falling and getting hurt. It was already dark, a little moonlight, but you still had to be careful not to go in the wrong direction. Just as Sarah was scared of what she was hearing, a fire was approaching in front of her.
"Great!" Sarah thought to herself: her adoptive father must have been worried about her and had come out to look for her. Sarah tried to catch up with the fire, but because of the difficulty of walking, she would fall into a pile of deep soft snowflakes, and the people who came hurriedly helped her up, and said, "Do you want to impress me again?
Sarah wondered if she was dreaming, wasn't this Andrew's voice? How could it be? She looked carefully at the man's face in the firelight, it was Andrew, it was Andrew, who she had been thinking about day and night, with a smile on her face, looking at Sarah, Sarah couldn't help but shout, "Andrew"
Andrew waited for Sarah to stand firm before taking Sarah's hand and walking in the direction of the manor. At this moment, Sarah wanted to ask Andrew if he was okay, until she arrived at the manor, and she heard Andrew say, "Sarah, don't run too far if you have nothing to do in the future, there are many people who will worry about you."
Sarah nodded, and Andrew said, "I've been to your house for a while, and your adoptive parents said you went out, and I stayed with them for a while, and when it got darker, I came out to look for you" and then Andrew turned back to Sarah and said, "Don't let me worry about it in the future, okay?" Sarah thought to herself, maybe he should be worried about his own future wife, but she didn't say it, but she was very moved to see Andrew say this sincerely. Sarah patted her dress, "I'm fine, don't worry" "Then after you promise to marry me, can you stop running around?"
"What?" Sarah was confused, and Andrew mustered up the courage to say before the fire faded away, "Will you marry me, Sarah?" Sarah couldn't imagine whether what she heard was true or if she thought she was dreaming, she froze in place, Andrew laughed, and said again, "Will you be my wife?"
Sarah finally heard the pleasant tone in Andrew's tone this time. She asked trembling and incredulous, "But, aren't you going to marry the young lady from before?" Andrew shook his head, "That's a misunderstanding" Sarah continued, "But there are many rumors in London that you are about to get married and marry the daughter of a rich family" Andrew laughed and said, "I mentioned to my mother that it is more advantageous to marry Sarah, the daughter of the Duke, you know, my family's "family marriage" conditions have always been strict, since you are the daughter of the Duke, as my mother wishes, you have to marry a girl with better conditions, right?" But......" Andrew pulled Sarah into his arms, "Don't be, do you remember what you said, just wait, the light will be in front of you, I think you are right, Sarah, life often needs to wait to solve problems"
Sarah hugged Andrew with joy, feeling his sincere body temperature, feeling his sincere love, at this time the fire was extinguished, but the bright moonlight was sprinkled on them, and the long-waiting, love, really bloomed in the light.
The end~

Because it is created in Chinese and then translated into English, the correct words in English cannot be translated, Madame can mean "your lady" (representing a contemporary status title), Lord Duke, Lord Earl, Lord Baron, etc., all appear in the novel, sorry, because I asked Google Translate to translate, and I have not been engaged in English writing, I just want to try to express the content of the whole novel in English, please forgive me!! Thank you!!
It is a coincidence that the novel was written in the same era as the writer Jane Austen

Love in London
CHAPTER XVIII
After the duke's body recovered, in order to celebrate the recovery of his little daughter, a ball was held to the public, and all the celebrities in London were invited to participate, and the Duke's Mansion was quite lively these days, because in order to prepare for the ball, there were many more people who helped to shuttle through the Duke's Palace.
Sarah was relieved that her father had fully recovered from his illness, but on the other hand, she was a little uneasy about the ball, after all, it was the first time she had attended such a grand ball in her real capacity, and she would definitely be introduced to the people of high society in London by her father. Sarah herself asked for permission from the rest of the family to invite her adoptive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wood, and her friend Elena and her husband.
The adoptive parents had arrived at the Referendum House yesterday, and the Woods had intended to stay in a London hotel, but Sarah had already sought the Duke's prior consent to arrange for the adoptive parents to stay in a room in the Duke's Mansion - because the Woods were so kind to Sarah, the Duke was quite polite to the Woods, and asked them to stay a few more days after the ball.
The Woods were surprised by the Duke's hospitality at first, but later accepted the kindness of the Duke's family and decided to stay longer, and they hadn't seen Sarah for a long time, and seeing that Sarah was now so beautiful, they knew that Sarah had integrated into the life of their own family and was loved.
Although the Woods were reluctant to leave their raised daughter from their arms, they were also very happy for Sarah, after all, everyone belonged to each other, and fate arranged Sarah to be their daughter, and it was enough to have such a good daughter for thirty years.
The day before the ball began, Sarah accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Wood to London, and she was instructed by her father to go to a famous department store in London to buy gifts for Mr. and Mrs. Wood, a set of haute couture clothes, and a set of expensive jewelry for Mrs. Wood.
This made the Woods very happy, and they did not dare to accept the gift, but when they learned that the Duke had ordered it to do so, they were more respectful than obey. Riding in the Duke's lavish carriage, the three of them talked happily in the carriage while traveling around London, and Mrs. Wood mentioned that the big pig in the family gave birth to a little pig, and these trivial things made Sarah listen to them with relish, and Mr. Wood also said that his hunting skills were becoming more and more sophisticated, which made Sarah remember the good times when she rode down the hillside even more.
When the ball finally arrived, all the rich and noble people of London flocked to the duke's mansion for the ball, and Sarah was dressed up extraordinarily, although Sarah was still used to wearing her former modest clothes, but since it was a formal occasion, Sarah had to put aside her old preferences and try to pay attention to her etiquette.
The lively banquet hall was crowded at this time, and the Duke and Duchess took Sarah through the ball, introducing the daughters they had found to these powerful people one by one. Sarah instructed herself from time to time in the hope that she would not lose her temper about this noisy occasion, and of course her proper attitude made the Duke's family feel at ease.
After a lengthy introduction, Sarah went to the side to find Yelena and his wife. She had just seen Elena at the door, and she was dressed very beautifully today, and it seemed that she was also very dressed, standing with her husband, and the two tall people were extremely fast dating.
While the three were having an interesting conversation, the dance music sounded, and the Duke, after dancing with his wife, came to invite his daughter to a second dance. Sarah followed her father to the dance floor, and her father really had a natural tacit understanding, Sarah also found at this time that under the leadership of her father, her dance music was really high-spirited, and after the dance, Sarah bowed and retreated, and went to find the Woods.
Mr. and Mrs. Wood were having a good time with the people on the other side - wasn't that Mrs. Will? Yes, it was Mrs. Weir who was chatting with Mr. and Mrs. Wood, and Mr. and Mrs. White were coming. Sarah hurried over to greet someone she knew, and everyone rushed to talk to her when they saw Sarah coming. Sarah wasn't used to being crowded, but she knew that these acquaintances were just trying to greet her and get back to the excitement.
As we were talking, Mrs. White said, "Has Miss Wood seen Andrew? He's here today!" Sarah's heart was shocked, she didn't expect Andrew to be invited, but she didn't see any sign of Andrew, so she shook her head honestly.
When wondering why she didn't see Andrew, Mrs. White exclaimed a little, Andrew came, it turned out that the dance had just stopped, and Andrew came over with a young lady. Sarah looked at the young lady as if she were a lady, and she was extremely beautiful and elegant.
After introducing each other, knowing that the young lady next to Andrew was very likely to be the future countess, Sarah felt very uncomfortable. She collected her sadness and looked at Andrew, who also looked at her with a very special look, and Andrew stretched out his hand to invite: "Miss Sheffield, can you enjoy the next song?" Sarah glanced at the people around her, nodded and walked onto the dance floor with Andrew.
When the dance music started, Andrew and Sarah, the two who had their own hearts did not talk at first, and then Andrew still spoke: "Should it be said that fate is cruel or fate is too good at arranging?" Sarah stared at Andrew-Originally, she had a lot of unique opinions about fate, but when she found out that fate often gave her strange arrangements, she would rather wait for the next test that fate gave her-Andrew saw that Sarah was silent, and he continued: "Sarah, who used to have a lot of ideas, is it now gone?"
This made Sarah smile, "She said, "It's not that it's gone, it's that it's fate."
"And what do you think fate will arrange for you?" Sarah," Andrew asked with a slight smile, and Sarah was as clever as ever, "Just like fate arranged for Earl Andrew Green!" Andrew smiled: "Do you think fate will find a good family for the Earl?" Sarah said in a bitter tone, "Isn't it already arranged? The beautiful and elegant lady over there" Andrew seemed to refute no more, "Yes, fate has arranged a good family for Earl Green, there is no doubt about it"
Sarah held back the disappointment and sadness that she was about to shed tears, and when the song was finished, she held back her tears and bowed aside. Sarah, who had exited the banquet hall, ran to the living room on the other side alone, and began to cry loudly, this time, Andrew broke her heart, she deserved it, and it was too late to save everything.

Love in London
CHAPTER XVII
After staying in the Duke's Mansion for a few days, and everything was still familiar, Sarah used the time to write several letters, one to her adoptive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wood, and one to her friend Elena .
Sarah must be very happy to know these people who care about her, and Sarah finally recognizes her biological father. This is not an easy task, after thirty years of peaceful country life, and now her identity has become the daughter of the duke, Sarah can not comment on her strange experience except lamenting the arrangement of the god of fate.
Life is inherently strange, sometimes unexpected things happen, like I was a commoner's child, but I didn't expect to become a member of an aristocratic family - Sarah never expected that such a treacherous and changeable world would even change her life so dramatically.
The day after Sarah's arrival, her father, the Duke, had the servants invite Sarah to his room alone for a deep conversation. The old man had been lying in bed when he was sick, and he went downstairs that day when he heard Sarah's beautiful piano, but he didn't expect the duke to recognize his daughter who had been missing for many years at a glance.
When the servant invited Sarah to the duke's bedside, the duke lay on the bed weakly but with a happy face, and the duke told Sarah about her biological mother, who turned out that Sarah's biological mother, the maid whom the duke fell in love with, fled with Sarah, and the duke was already tracking down her whereabouts.
At first, because there was an introducer to ask, but in the end, her poor relatives of her biological mother did not know where Sarah's biological mother was, because everyone was not financially good and could not help Sarah's biological mother, not to mention raising a baby waiting to be fed, Sarah's biological mother took Sarah and left her outside.
Later, Sarah's biological mother became seriously ill, and before her biological mother died, she sent a letter to the Duke, saying that before she fell ill, because she could not afford to raise Sarah, she had abandoned Sarah in front of a couple's house in a hotel in London, and said the name of the hotel, she regretted leaving her own daughter, asked the Duke for forgiveness, and asked the Duke to get her daughter back.
Sarah read the yellowed letter that the Duke had given to Sarah, tears could not help but fall, she could understand why her birth mother had left her, she had forgiven her birth mother now, and now she was even more grateful to have met the Woods, to be favored and well educated. The Duke looked at Sarah, who was full of tears, and said distressedly, "Child, it's all father's fault, I didn't protect you and protect your mother well, but fortunately, God blesses, so that I can still see you, are you willing to forgive your father?" Sarah shook the Duke's hand excitedly, and at this moment she could feel that the strange estrangement between herself and the Duke had been removed.
Then Sarah went back to her room and retrieved the precious blanket that had once wrapped her tiny body, and took off her necklace and went back to the duke's room. The duke looked at these tokens with tears in his eyes, and he had no doubt that Sarah was his own daughter, but now when he saw these things, his heart was even more emotional, and the father and daughter were sad for a while.
It wasn't until the doctor came in to check on the Duke's body that Sarah told her father that he should step back and let him rest well, and the Duke reluctantly watched Sarah walk out of the room, and Sarah walked out of the door and returned to her room. From then on, it was really her room, with its ornate and tasteful furnishings, the large bed was frighteningly luxurious, and it had given Sarah a good night's sleep last night.
At breakfast, Anne and William gave Sarah a kind smile as they had done a few days ago, the Duchess didn't seem to smile since Sarah came, Sarah was worried about whether she had stimulated the Duchess because of her existence, but Annie had told her when she talked to Sarah that the Duchess was indeed unhappy, but Anne said that her mother was a very good person, and she only kept a face when she couldn't bear the fact that she couldn't bear it, and believed that over time, she would accept the fact and get along with Sarah.
Sarah hoped so, because she had come to see her own father, not to disturb other people's lives, even though it was inevitable.
Sarah worked hard to get the Duchess's approval, and at first the Duchess did look at Sarah with suspicion and hatred all the time, but gradually she knew that Sarah was simple-minded and did not take advantage of others, and was very willing to do things. Sarah never enjoys herself all day long, she will find things to do by herself like she usually does at her adoptive parents' manor, although William and Anne have told Sarah that these things can be done by the servants, but Sarah still can't change the old habits.
Although the Duchess thought that Sarah's behavior was ridiculous at first, after all, she was the Duke's daughter, but watching Sarah do things diligently, slowly, she also changed her opinion - it was not easy to get the Duchess's approval, Sarah did not want to please people in a flattering way, on the contrary, she used to show her sincerity, so that others knew that she was not here for other non-trivial ideas.
After a long time, not only did she get along with her brother and sister, but even the Duchess was willing to chat with Sarah, which surprised Sarah. Slowly, the Duke was very happy because he found his little daughter, and his body gradually recovered, and he no longer felt sick, and the doctor excitedly announced that the Duke only needed to recuperate well, which made all the Duke's family very happy, originally thought that they would lose their father and husband, but they did not expect that the arrival of Sarah would also give the family good luck.
Sarah took care of her father carefully, served him soup and medicine, shh Soon after, Sarah also received a letter from her adoptive parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wood, who were happy that Sarah had returned to the arms of her biological parents and grieved that Sarah had lost her biological mother, but they prayed for Sarah to get better and better and be loved in their own home.

Love in London
CHAPTER XVI
Without the Woods in her company, the lonely Sarah set out on this journey alone, as she expected, to the Duke's mansion, not knowing whether to go in or not, leaving Sarah in a dilemma, in fact, Sarah did not know how to tell this story at all, although her adoptive parents told her so much once, but what should she say when she saw her real family?
Sarah, who had never been good at dealing with strangers, walked around the gates of the Duke's mansion, carrying a light bag that contained a line of evidence linking her to the aristocratic family. Sarah was very nervous and hesitant, she really should find someone to accompany her, if only she had asked her adoptive parents to come together, there would be no embarrassing situation in front of her, just when Sarah was at a loss, a man walked out, Sarah had an inexplicable sense of familiarity with her.
When the man saw Sarah, he asked, "Are you?" Sarah didn't care about her own blood rushing to her head, and she said, "I'm Sarah .Wood, and I'm here to see the Duke."
The man looked at Sarah from head to toe, as if he had discovered a new world, and he suddenly cried out, "It must be you, you look like our father, quick, I'll take you in, my father has been missing you" Sarah was confused, but her face was flushed, and she followed the man into the house.
The spacious hall appeared in front of her, and Sarah looked at the moment in front of her, "Really, is this really my real home?" and then a woman who seemed to be extremely noble suddenly came from the other side, and she stared at Sarah with a very meaningful look, and then said, "I am the Duchess, who are you?" Sarah quickly bowed and said, "I am Sarah.Wood, I have come to see the Duke."
The man disappeared from the smoke, which made Sarah, who was standing still, very embarrassed, and the noble lady stared at her, which made her feel very wrong. At this moment, a girl of Sarah's age hurriedly walked down the stairs, followed by the gentleman from the previous moment, and the girl who walked in front quickly walked up to Sarah, and let out a pleasant laugh: "Is that you, dear sister?" The girl, as if she had known Sarah for a long time, actually hugged Sarah and screamed and jumped, which frightened Sarah, and the man immediately stopped her: "Anne, don't frighten Sarah, she has just arrived here!"
The girl named Anne immediately restrained her pleasure, and the man hurriedly introduced himself: "I am your eldest brother William, and this is our mother, Lady Catherine," Sarah quickly put down her bags and agreed. Sarah had no idea that she would be so welcomed, and she hadn't even shown evidence of her marriage! The young man and woman had already taken her for their own family, but the Duchess looked unpleasant, and her domineering appearance made Sarah want to flee from this place.
William and Anne took her hand and took her luggage one by the other, and led her to the living room, and Anne took Sarah's hand while explaining that the Duke was resting and could not see anyone, so they told Sarah to stay in the living room for a while, and when her room was ready, they could let her move in, or wait for the Duke to wake up and go to the Duke first. Sarah said thank you, and Anne smiled again and said, "Sarah, you are our sister, I have wanted a sister for a long time, I didn't expect it to happen now".
Anne and Sarah look very similar, so is William, if the three of them go out, no one will mistakenly think that the three are not brother and sister, because they look too similar to each other, William recognized his sister as soon as he saw Sarah.
Sarah sat uneasily on the plush couch as she watched everything around her, and it was all coming so fast that Sarah didn't know how to react.
Why did she become uneasy in the face of her own family? Because of the Duchess's attitude? The Duchess seemed to be both elegant and unapproachable, and William and Anne were different from their mothers. From Anne's words, Sarah felt Anne's kindness, and William, though not particularly warm, was polite and seemed to be a straightforward man, and she was glad that the two siblings were not like their mother, otherwise she might have been kicked out of the Duke's mansion by this time.
Then Anne suddenly said, "Sarah, do you play the piano?" Sarah nodded. Following Anne's gaze, Sarah was pleasantly surprised to find a rather expensive piano in the living room. Anne took Sarah's hand and said, "Sarah, if you're not tired, play a tune for us!" Sarah said yes and immediately walked to the piano. Even the piano chair was extremely comfortable to sit on, Sarah couldn't help but admire, and then opened the lid, adjusted her mood, and then played it with her heart, and a beautiful "Breeze Symphony" spread around her.
Sarah, who was more focused on playing than before, was fascinated by the sound of the piano around her, even the Duchess's face was much softer, and William and Anne listened to the sound of the piano brought by this sister with a look of amazement.
When the song was finished, Sarah stood up and was surprised to find an old man standing at the door of the living room, and he walked slowly, past Anne and William, and then he walked up to Sarah. His face was like Sarah's first meeting William, a face that he had never seen but was inexplicably familiar, he trembled and stretched out his hands and said, "My child, my child, you have finally come to me" Sarah naturally stretched out her hand, and the Duke couldn't help but cry when she shook her little daughter's hand, "Child, don't you call me father?"
Anne and William also came to support their father, William said in an encouraging tone, "Sarah, call him father! Father has been waiting for this moment for a long time" Sarah stammered, "father", the old man finally burst into tears and laughed, and the family of four was so immersed in the joy of reunion.
At this moment of celebration, only the Duchess on the side had a cold face, watching the drama of the father-daughter group, when Sarah inadvertently touched the Duchess's fierce eyes, her heart suddenly shook: What kind of woman is the Duchess? Can she accept her existence as an outsider? At this time, Sarah, who was full of joy, suddenly worried about her future, but the father, brother and sister in front of her, who are related by blood, at least, these happy smiling faces are Sarah's greatest comfort at present.

Love in London
CHAPTER XV
"When did you meet Earl Green, Sarah?" Elena asked Sarah, who was looking out the window, while teasing her son, who was learning to walk, and Sarah turned back and said lightly, "It's before Earl Green inherited the title" Elena continued to ask, "I've never heard you talk about it! The Earl is young and promising, and he looks very likable" "Yes, if you think so".
Sarah was a little excited at this time, but she still suppressed that emotion: "When I met him, he was very fond of drawing, and he ran around with a sketchpad all day long" These past events tied Sarah's thoughts, and her crying expression was instantly seen by Yelena, but she didn't dare to ask more, Sarah is a good companion, but there is a problem of being too cautious, where Sarah refuses to speak automatically, Elena will never dare to ask casually.
Looking at Sarah's appearance, after Earl Green sent Sarah back, Sarah was completely distracted, but she didn't know what happened between them, Yelena was a little worried about Sarah, but she didn't dare to ask anything.
Seeing that Sarah was getting more and more emaciated, Yelena had to stay by Sarah's side all the time, and she was really worried that Sarah would pass out one day. Looking at Sarah, her pale look seemed to reveal a kind of heartbreak meaning, and even Elena's husband curiously asked Elena if she knew what was going on, and Elena could only shake her head at her own husband's question.
Before you know it, spring is coming. As spring blossoms, Sarah begins to miss her hometown, and she wants to go home to be with her parents.
The night before leaving, during dinner, Elena and her husband talked about a recent incident that caused a sensation in London, and heard that the Duke of Sheffield had done something degrading to the family before, and now it was exposed. It turned out that the Duke of Sheffield had fallen in love with a maid before, and the two gave birth to a daughter, and then the maid was driven away by the Duchess, and the maid also took away the daughter she had born.
I heard that the little girl was wearing a very special cross necklace, which was a birth gift for the little daughter ordered by the Duke, and the little girl was wrapped in a precious little blanket specially made by the Duke's family for the children of his family before being taken away. Sarah had listened to it without a match, and when she heard that very special cross necklace, she touched the necklace on her chest that she had worn for more than 20 years, and her necklace was also very special, with a small emerald inlaid on the cross, and there was a special pattern around the emerald.
She was already curious about the origin of this necklace, and she had asked her parents, and her father had vaguely said that this necklace was a gift from her grandmother as a blessing, and she didn't ask any more - thinking of this, Sarah asked Elena curiously, "What does this chain look like, do you have a picture to see?" Elena handed over the newspaper, Sarah looked at the sketch on the newspaper and exclaimed, the necklace was almost exactly the same as the one she was wearing.
When she took out the necklace to show it to the Ellenas, they exclaimed, "It's the same necklace, Sarah, are you the youngest daughter of the Duke of Sheffield?" Sarah herself was also surprised, completely speechless, Sarah thought to herself, this is just a coincidence, this refining has been seen for a long time, and it doesn't feel special, it must be, it's just a coincidence that it's similar!
Elena herself continued, "Sarah, you must go back and ask the Woods, maybe they know something?" Sarah was supposed to go home early the next morning, and she promised Elena that if she asked about the origin of the necklace, she would write to Elena to let her know.
The next day, Sarah set off for home with trepidation, hopping on a stagecoach and driving back to Monte Manor. Sarah, who had been in the carriage all day, was exhausted, but despite this, Sarah was happy to be back in the arms of her parents. But he forgot to ask about the necklace. The next day, when he had fully recovered his strength, he remembered the necklace and went downstairs with it.
Mr. and Mrs. Wood were having breakfast in the dining room, and Sarah sat down at her usual seat before she asked her father, "Daddy, do you know where this chain came from?" Mr. Wood was taken aback, and hurriedly said, "Didn't I tell you when you were a child that this was a blessing from your grandmother?" and then glanced at her wife, and Mrs. Wood hurriedly continued, "That's right."
After a while, Mr. Wood said, "I didn't want to talk to you about it, but Sarah, you should be the little daughter of the Duke," and then he slowly described how when he was young, on the way to a doctor's treatment for infertility with Mrs. Wood, he stayed in a hotel, only to find a crying baby girl at the door the next day. The baby girl was wrapped in an extremely expensive blanket and carried a noble and special necklace. They didn't know where the baby girl came from, but thanks to God for giving them this child, they took her home to raise her as their own daughter, and that was nearly 30 years ago
Sarah was surprised to hear her father tell this old story, and her original anxiety was now even more overwhelmed - she was actually the daughter of the Duke of Sheffield, although she was the daughter of an honorary person, but the newspaper said that the Duke was seriously ill and was afraid that he would die soon, so he had to disclose this past, because before he died, he desperately wanted to see this daughter whom he had not seen for thirty years.
At the Wood family's dining table, the strange atmosphere of what had been a family but had become not a family was flowing around him. Mrs. Wood returned to her room and took out the precious blanket that had been in the cupboard for thirty years. The blanket was slightly yellowed, but the coat of arms of the Duke of Sheffield was still clearly visible on it. Mr. Wood said, "Thank you, Sarah, for being our daughter for thirty years, and now that our fate is over, go back and meet your real father!
Sarah stood up, she took the noble blanket, hugged the Woods, and went upstairs to pack her handy luggage.
The Woods gave Sarah a ride in the only light carriage, and Sarah resisted the urge to cry and said goodbye to the Woods.
The car was far away from the manor, and Sarah looked back at the things she had been familiar with since childhood, and finally couldn't help crying. I didn't expect her life to be so complicated, and what kind of life awaits her in the future? Will everything make people happy or sad? She has spent many cold and summer in this beautiful manor, and has the love and good memories of the Woods, but now she is about to say goodbye to everything she knows and run to the unknown tomorrow, and Sarah can't help but be confused at this moment.

Love in London
CHAPTER XIV
Three years later, Sarah. Wood's first novel was published, in which Sarah wrote her experiences in a half-autobiographical book,< Love Without Regrets>, which was loved by ladies of all walks of life in London at the time. At that time, most of the conversation between the ladies was about the love affair between the heroine "Caterina" and the male protagonist "Anhill", and many people thought that this tragic love affair was too touching - Sarah never thought that her novel would be so sensational, she was originally an unknown novice, but time trained her to be a person who can easily transform words into hearts, maybe this heart is touching!
After she sent the manuscript, she didn't have any expectations, but one day half a year later, a letter contacted her, asking her to go to the publishing house. This trip made the appearance of this novel - Sarah feels really lucky to be able to publish a novel to confess her heart. The publisher also asked her to continue writing novels, saying that her novels are so beautiful and moving that they almost make people love them.
Soon after, the opera house also bought the rights to the novel, and a year later, "Love Without Regrets" was officially staged at the London Opera House. Because the plot is too twisty and moving, not only did the original novel sell well, but even the adapted stage play was a great success. This is also something Sarah didn't expect, but Sarah is a low-key person, she doesn't want to be magnified and scrutinized, and she doesn't want her personal privacy to be put in front of the public to become an after-dinner joke.
Not only did she not attend the celebration held for her by the publishing house, but she also did not attend the authors' fraternity party that some readers requested, let alone attend any public occasions as an author, but she still devoted herself to the writing of novels without interruption.
There are only a few people who know that Sarah is the author of "love without regrets", and at this time, Sarah is already twenty-nine years old, and during this period, she has also published two novels, and the response is not bad.
At the same time, Sarah still thinks of Andrew from time to time, she will pay attention to his news from the newspaper, although at this time Andrew has inherited his father's title and became Andrew.Green, Earl of Green, but Andrew's painting is also successful - Sarah knew that Andrew would succeed, because Andrew has great perseverance, success is just around the corner - I don't know if Andrew is married, this is not news at all, Sarah actually does not dare to have any expectations, but who knows? Maybe Andrew has forgotten this youthful incident.
Sarah was busy writing every day, writing not only novels but also essays, and she didn't have the extra time to focus on feelings or finding a partner, which made the Woods quite anxious, but also helpless.
Only occasionally when I am lonely I think of Andrew's smiling face, and his gentle and straightforward eyes, it seems that he is always full of absolute enthusiasm - perhaps because of his love of painting, Andrew does not give people the impression of being unapproachable, so in London, everyone knows that Andrew .Green is a man who will greet people warmly.
Sarah has a good friend Elena. Gray, who invites Sarah to her London home for a few days. She is also who grew up together, and the two talk about everything. But she was married early, but they often exchanged letters—Sarah was very happy to be invited to Elena Gray's house, for they had not seen each other for a long time, and Sarah had only met Elena once when she was away, probably because she had not seen her for a long time, and felt a little unfamiliar, which made Sarah embarrassed to visit again.
This visit was jointly invited by Elena and her husband, who was the son of a councillor, who was very motivated and kind, Sarah was very happy for Elena, and Elena was even more happy for Sarah's visit.
On this day, Elena said that her husband was willing to stay at home to take care of her one-year-old son, and she very much hoped that Sarah would accompany her to see a very famous stage play "Love Without Regrets", Sarah had not yet had the opportunity to see the stage play where her novel was written, because after watching it, she would remember this sad past that she wanted to bury deeply, but based on Yelena's request, she had to agree.
The two came to the theater, and because the tickets had been bought in advance, the two found their seats and sat down. Before the stage play, Elena was very happy to tell Sarah that this play is currently the most popular play in London, Sarah only smiled slightly when she heard it, and Elena even said that she had a collection of the author's original novel, Sarah couldn't help asking, "Is the novel good? Elena" Elena seemed to be very familiar with the original book, and kept nodding and saying, "This author is really well written, you should go and buy a copy of Sarah" Sarah quickly said, "Lend me your novel to read! I don't need to buy it" "Okay" Elena said: " Maybe you'll want to buy a collection after watching the play!" Sarah smiled, "It shouldn't be so impressive!"
At this time, the stage play started, and the two quietly watched the actors in the stage play perform "love without regrets" like everyone else.
Sarah listened quietly to the actors' lines from her hands, and she knew exactly what was going to happen next in each paragraph, and the stage play was faithful to the original except for some modifications. Under the infection of the drama, Sarah's eyes were wet, and the actors on the stage vividly performed the scene where she and Andrew fell in love, when Sarah saw the hero and heroine reaching out to each other and holding each other's hands affectionately, Sarah couldn't help but let the tears run on her cheeks, at this time, Sarah, thinking of Andrew's heartache - Andrew, dear Andrew, how is he now? This unforgettable miss is now induced by the actors on the stage, and the tears are out of control.
Sarah watched the whole play in a blurred vision, and Yelena on the side seemed to be dyed by the emotions of the stage play, crying uncontrollably. After watching the stage play for more than an hour, the two wiped their tears and left the theater together.
"It's really moving, isn't it?" Elena said as she wiped her tears, "You should go buy a novel to read, fortunately the hero and heroine are together in the end, otherwise I would have to protest to the author" Sarah burst into tears and laughed, "You don't even know if the author is a man or a woman!" "The author of such a classic emotional description should be a lady!" Elena said matter-of-factly, "I haven't seen a man who can describe feelings so well and movingly!" It's your prejudice to Yelena, I'm sure there must be a man who can write a touching love story, if he really understands what feelings are all about."
"That's right!" A man's voice suddenly came out next to him, so familiar, could it be ...... Sarah turned her head to see Andrew, who was dressed in a handsome outfit, standing a few paces away from them, looking at Sarah with a smile of joy that he had seen his friend. Sarah exclaimed in surprise, "Andrew!" Andrew happily walked forward and stretched out his hand: "Long time no see, Sarah" Sarah couldn't help but reach out and shake Andrew: "It's been a long time."
The two of them completely forgot the existence of others after a long absence, and the look of reunion with their beloved in their eyes was unusual even for Yelena. When Sarah came to her senses and introduced Andrew to Elena, Elena smiled generously at Andrew and said, "Sarah never told me she knew the Earl!" It turns out that Elena knows Andrew, so Sarah doesn't have to describe anything. The three of them chatted for a while about the stage play, and it turned out that Andrew had just watched the same play with them, and Sarah felt very embarrassed, not knowing what Andrew had seen from it.
Elena blurted out after a while, "I have to go back to watching the kids" and asked Andrew to send Sarah home after talking to Sarah, and Elena could see that Sarah wanted to talk to Andrew more, so she excused herself to leave first.
Andrew waited for Elena to leave in the carriage before he said with feeling, "Fang Cai's play is very moving, isn't it?" "Yes" Sarah's face flushed: "I was moved to tears" "Really?" Andrew thoughtfully: "I think the author writes very movingly, I heard that "her" novels sell very well" Andrew used the word "she", Sarah said: "I haven't bought the novel yet, I don't know if it's really good" Andrew said meaningfully" The author is very careful to write about feelings, especially the scene where the hero and heroine clasp their hands tightly, which makes me very excited, what makes the author think that the hero and heroine should be together? There are so many tribulations in life, and it is difficult for many people to escape the arrangement of fate" Sarah nodded: "Yes, fate does give people endless tribulations and arrangements, but people who really love each other should be together against all odds, this is true love, and it is moving, isn't it?" No, what I understand is the cruelty of fate, fate tests people, but people will not have no way out, they just need a little time to wait, the light is in front of them."
"What about us?"
Andrew's hot eyes reappeared, and Sarah's heartbeat was even more thrilling at this time, "We are a fairy tale that cannot be realized in reality" Sarah immediately withdrew her hand. Andrew's expression immediately dimmed: "We are fairy tales that cannot exist in reality, yes, Sarah, but we are human beings with feelings, our hearts will be hurt, and we can only blame it for the cruelty of fate, right? Can't you understand my love for you? For you, I can't accept other girls, you are my only love" Sarah said with a straight face: " I appreciate your dedication to me, and I really hope to repay you for this love of 10,000th of it, but I can't, the only promise is that my feelings for you have never changed, and I have no other power to change anything, I'm sorry, please send me back to Elena's house, Mr. Green."
The last sentence of Mr. Green completely crushed Andrew, and he calmly accompanied Sarah to the luxurious carriage waiting at the other end, and Andrew deeply felt that although it was only a few steps, it felt very far away, as if he would fall into the abyss after a few more steps-sent Sarah to the carriage, and Andrew himself immediately boarded the carriage, and the air was filled with a gloomy atmosphere.
An indescribable feeling of sadness spread through the carriage. Neither of them said a word along the way, but Sarah's heart was crying, and she knew that this time it broke Andrew's heart, and the next time, they might never see each other again.

Love in London
CHAPTER XIII
It had been a long time since Sarah had been sent back to Monte Manor by Mrs. Will, and when Mrs. Will sent Sarah back, she told Mr. and Mrs. Wood that she had made up Sarah's for the honest couple to make up for her, causing the old couple to think that Sarah had really done something rebellious.
Mrs. Wood gave Sarah a serious lecture for her, for she had made her look disgraceful in front of her friend Mrs. Will, while Mr. Wood was partial to his daughter, saying that Mrs. Will had always been exaggerated, but that the incident had only been a matter of a few days back at Monte Manor. After a few days, all was calm again, and Mrs. Wood apparently did not want to speak of the humiliation again, while Mr. Wood continued to love his beloved daughter.
Sarah feels guilty that her parents are under the pressure of the mistakes she made, but she likes Andrew for a fact and still hasn't changed her mind in the slightest - I wonder what happened to Andrew? The scene of shaking hands with Andrew in the living room that day was still deeply in her mind, but when Mrs. Will bumped into her, she was angry and immediately sent a carriage to send Andrew back to her cousin's house, and Sarah was sent back to her own house to end her career as a governess - Sarah was glad to know Andrew's heart before she went home, and if not, how long would she have to guess what each other's hearts were, and how long would it take to know Andrew's love for her? Andrew was very sure and hot of her love, and so was she.
At first, Sarah could not understand what she had done wrong and was going to be sent home, so she dared to ask Mrs. Will, who was furious and scolded her for being a grateful girl, and said that Andrew was the future Lord Earl and could only marry a lady from a rich or noble family. Sarah finally understands why everyone is holding them back, and it turns out that the fault of this unmistakable love is that she has no money and no status, which is the qualification for marriage that the London High Society values.
Sarah .Wood is a person who does not accept her fate, but what can she do if she does not accept her fate? She and Andrew are indeed very disparity, how can she forcefully say that she will not marry unless Andrew! and how can Andrew abandon the family tradition and responsibility to marry her, a "person who is not qualified enough".
Sarah was heartbroken, knowing that she would be sacrificed to these rules of the game, and she also knew that she was incapable of breaking through the status quo and running to Andrew's arms, so she could only encourage herself to miss Andrew less - remembering his expression of concentration on painting, his side face was very handsome, so focused that it seemed that he was the only one left at the moment, and occasionally Andrew would smile at her with a sideways face.
Sarah will always remember these beautiful moments, but now that Andrew is not around, and she has no intention of writing, as if nothing is meaningless, even horseback riding is no longer so interesting, and when she plays the piano, she remembers Andrew leaning on the piano and listening intently to her music. Every time I see a painting, I think of Andrew's immersion in the world of his own paintings, Andrew's every move, Sarah remembers it deeply, can't forget, every time she suddenly wakes up in the middle of the night, she will also think of Andrew's shadow, she wants to order herself to forget, but the thoughts are getting deeper and deeper.
The more I wanted to see Andrew, the more my heart ached - it was a great irony to think of Andrew's laughing appearance and his current sorrowful self.
A few days later, Charles. Moore somehow heard that Sarah had returned home and came to visit her, and Mrs. Wood was apparently pleased with Charles. Moore and encouraged her to associate with her. Although Mr. Wood could not stand the actions of his wife, he also thought that it was not a solution for Sarah to immerse himself in the tragedy of love, so he could not refuse, Charles. Moore and the Wood family were of the same family, and he was also very decent, and he was a good match for a person who could not be faulted at all.
Although Sarah can understand her parents' eagerness to marry her off, she has no special feelings for Charles. Moore, because she has given all her love to Andrew, and can only hide this love deep in her heart, let it keep beating on the heart, reminding her of how heart-wrenching it is.
Because of this, Sarah always forced a smile when she saw Charles. Moore, who didn't know what was going on in Sarah's mind, he only knew that Sarah always seemed to be preoccupied and difficult to approach. But he still tries his best to win Sarah's affection, and he wants to make Sarah, who is often melancholy, happy. He rode with Sarah, chatted with her, and often brought beautiful flowers to please Sarah, but Sarah often kept a calm face, and at a glance she knew that she was only buried in her own world.
This made Charles. Moore very curious, but he didn't dare to ask more, he thought that he hadn't tried hard enough, until one day Sarah said to her, "Charles, I believe in your kindness to me, but I'm afraid I'm going to let you down, because I already have someone I like" Charles Moore didn't expect the refusal to come so quickly and directly, he wished Sarah to find his happiness, and went back dejected, and visited Sarah less and less, and finally stopped visiting.
While Sarah felt relieved that Charles .Moore was no longer visiting, Mrs. Wood complained that Sarah had pushed away all those who had good intentions. Mrs. Will had introduced some young men of the right age to Shah, and Sarah was still polite but not much to say, and Mrs. Wood reprimanded Sarah for this, saying that she wanted to be an old virgin who could not be married.
Mr. Wood was often tired of hearing his wife complain so worriedly. But Mrs. Wood apparently did not give up on Sarah's search for a better partner, and she asked her husband to pay more attention to the families of single men in the nearby parish, and to try to visit them, and even attend various gatherings in the town, in order to find good candidates, but she hoped that Sarah would have more opportunities to meet different people. They know that their daughter is different from other girls, her shy personality is full of stubbornness, and she will not compromise casually, and she will always be polite and cold to visiting guests.
At first, Mr. Wood was willing to obey his wife's instructions, but as time went on, he felt that not only himself, but also his own daughter was pitiful, in fact, Sarah was still young, and should not be in such a hurry to marry, especially the right person was difficult to choose, let alone the right character and family background. Every time he saw his daughter often avoiding her mother's eyes that were not known to be pressure or pity, Mr. Wood felt that all this was becoming more and more ridiculous.
Since then, when Sarah has been playing the piano, riding horses, or helping with household chores, she has been locked up in her room all day and immersed herself in writing. She kept looking at her father's collection of books and worked hard to write, since she couldn't be with the person she loved, at least she should work hard to realize her dreams! At least she could alleviate the pain of her heart being torn apart, and give the protagonists of her novels a happy ending......

Love in London
Chapter XII
Andrew, who was about to return to Peton Manor, angrily rushed to Cousin Ingrid, who was eating breakfast at the table, and before Mrs. White could beckon Andrew to sit down for breakfast together, she was startled by Andrew's words: "How can you do this, Cousin Ingrid?" Even Baron White was frightened by this loud and rude sentence: "Andrew, why are you talking to your cousin so loudly?" Andrew bowed to Baron White and said coldly, "Sorry, sir" , then straightened up and strode out of the restaurant.
Andrew walked out of the dining room and asked for a horse from the stable, and rode out of the estate without looking back, to one of his favorite places. Once Sarah accompanied him here to sketch, it was a bridge, quite a poetic bridge, and there was a small manor on the opposite side of the bridge, and the whole thing was very warm and very pleasant, and the two of them spent a very pleasant afternoon.
Andrew thought back to Sarah, her face was ruddy and full of pleasure, and she sat quietly on the grass and watched him draw. He had always been extremely attentive when he painted, and he still felt Sarah's hot eyes burning behind him, and he believed that Sarah must have had some feelings for him, and at that time their hearts were so close that what was it if they didn't like each other? Why would anyone break up between him and Sarah? What a good girl Sarah was! If such a girl was not qualified to be his lifelong partner, then what kind of person was qualified?
Are those ridiculous nobles' daughters? Are the eldest ladies of the rich families who have no depth in their speech? Why is there any ridiculous "glorious marriage", it must be his "future earldom" that hinders all this!
For the first time in his life, Andrew hated his background for hindering his happiness, and as a man, he didn't have the freedom to choose the person he loved, and the person he loved couldn't marry her back home, so what was the point of getting married?
Isn't this a great joke? Andrew, who was in deep pain, really wanted to rush to Sarah at once and explain to her how much he loved her, and how he hoped that his love with Sarah would be blessed by everyone.
But what about Sarah at this moment? Remembering the intense and dramatic scene of the previous night, Sarah still can't understand why Andrew is angry, nor why Andrew is angry? Mrs. Will wants to invite Sarah to the house of one of her powerful friends, and this time Sarah plucks up the courage to say that she feels uncomfortable with the headache, so Mrs. Will only asks Sarah to go to the jewel box on the dresser in her room to find a sapphire necklace, because she needs to wear it out.
Sarah hurriedly got up from the dining table and went upstairs, entered the palatial room of Mrs. Will, and immediately found the jewelry box that Mrs. Will had said, and when she opened the box, she immediately found the sapphire jewelry necklace, and when the necklace was picked up, she found that there were still a large number of unopened letters stacked in the box. She was curious to pick it up and see that it was for Sarah Wood, and Sarah counted them in disbelief, and there were more than a dozen of them, all for her, and the sender was signed by Andrew Green—Oh my God! Andrew had sent her a lot of letters, but why didn't Mrs. Will give them to herself in a jewelry box? Why?
Why did Mrs. Will do this? Sarah wanted to go down with the pile of letters and ask Mrs. Will, but she resisted the urge to put the letters back in their original places, put the lid on the jewelry box, took the necklace, and went downstairs. Go downstairs and give the sapphire necklace to Mrs. Will.
Sarah silently sent Mrs. Will out, and then returned to her room, when a great deal of mystery came flooding back—why? Why did Mrs. Will go to such lengths to prevent these letters from getting into her hands???Was there any secret in this?
Sarah sat down in her chair and wrote to Andrew:
Dear Andrew,
I have finally seen the letters you have sent, and I am sorry that I have not replied to them, because I have not had a chance to read them, and they are currently in the possession of Mrs. Will in her jewellery box, and I have no idea what is going on or why you are angry, and I hope that this letter will reach you without any problems, and if you may, please take a trip to London, and I would like to hear all the reasons for this.
Your sincerest Sarah
Sarah sealed the envelope and asked the maid to send the letter, looking forward to the question sent with the letter and having the opportunity to get answered.
One week later, Andrew came to visit Sarah at Mrs. Will's mansion. Sarah didn't have much hope, because she couldn't imagine that her own letter would be taken away and not passed on to Andrew. The letter Andrew sent her was in the hands of Mrs. Will, but fortunately Andrew received her letter and rushed to it, and it happened that Mrs. Will had been out for a while, and Sarah and Andrew were finally able to open their hearts and talk without disturbance, Sarah just greeted the White family, but Andrew couldn't wait to say, "It's really not that you didn't write back to me on purpose, I thought you made a new friend, James.Brown, and ignored me."
The sour vinegar in the words even Sarah felt it, and Sarah quickly defended herself: "I really didn't read the letters, I only read the cover"
Sarah glanced at Andrew, and then said, "I also think that it is very wrong to forget the old friends after making new friends, not to mention that new friends are not the kind of people I want to admire, old friends are what I care about" Andrew could no longer suppress the enthusiasm in his heart, he got up from the chair and rushed to Sarah, holding her hand tightly: "Sarah, do you know that everyone is trying to stop my love for you?" Sarah was startled when she heard this, and quickly blushed, she didn't know how to answer. Although she liked Andrew, and the fact that Andrew was holding her hand tightly in front of her made her almost jump with joy, she still didn't dare to act rashly. I heard Andrew say again, "I will never give up my love for you, and this love will only increase with each passing day, and it will not decrease, Sarah, you have all of me, and I will give you my heart and soul."
Sarah was overjoyed to find that Andrew loved her so much, she thought for a moment and expressed her heart clearly: "Andrew, I didn't expect to get your love, but I really like you, and I haven't changed."
The two men who had shown their hearts to each other were now intoxicated with each other's affection, and the air seemed to be filled with the fragrance of happiness, and the couple looked at each other deeply, reluctant to withdraw their hands—was all this true?happiness kept asking questions in each other's hearts? Was it all true?Everything was so perfect before Mrs. Will walked in......

Love in London
Chapter XI
A room full of clothes and sideburns, this is a grand scene that Sarah, who grew up in the country, has never seen, there are many people and crowded, and she follows Mrs. Will into Mrs. Clark's banquet hall, and Sarah is stunned.
Fearing that she would be embarrassed, Sarah followed Mrs. Will closely, and whenever she saw someone she knew, she introduced Sarah Wood. Mrs. Will knew so many people that Sarah didn't have time to write down everyone's names, and when she heard the familiar names, she looked up to find that James Brown was already standing in front of her and inviting the first dancer.
Sarah nodded awkwardly and politely, she was still a little confident about dancing, but James . Brown scared her, but Sarah still followed James. Brown into the dancing crowd. As the two danced, James. Brown said, "I couldn't get enough of talking to Miss Wood in the morning, but luckily I had a chance to continue in the evening."
Sarah reluctantly said, "I wonder what James wants to talk about?" James. Brown seemed to be very interested in all that she had to offer, and said, "Tell me about your life in the country! Is the place where you live beautiful?" Riding a horse in the beautiful countryside always forgets a lot of sorrow," said James. Brown, "This is the first time I've seen Miss Wood's face glow!
Sarah was very happy, but suddenly her face sank again: "I haven't been home for a long time, I miss my parents so much" James. Brown seemed to feel the same way: "Indeed, I haven't been back for so long, I must be homesick" The two danced quietly until the dance music ended, Sarah just bent her knees to salute James. Brown, when suddenly a figure came out from the side and said, "Please dance with me next dance!" Sarah" Sarah looked up in surprise and found Andrew. Green looking at her with a moving look, and James on the side. Brown looked thoughtfully at the young man who suddenly burst out.
Sarah hurriedly introduced the two to each other, and when James walked away with a strange look, before the next dance song was played, Andrew pulled Sarah to a place where there was no one on the side, and Andrew, who seemed to be thinking about something, suddenly changed his tone and said, "You're so busy, Sarah, don't reply to my letters"
"Letter?"
Sarah was completely confused: "I haven't received a single letter from you!" Andrew was also puzzled, but he still didn't believe that his letter had not been sent to Sarah, and he continued to ask, "But I have written many letters! Even if it is a mistake, one or two will always reach you!" Sarah said seriously, "But I really haven't received a single one! What the hell is going on?"
The music played, Andrew pulled Sarah back to the dance floor, and the two danced in confusion, Andrew said as if he didn't think of anything, "Then it must be like this" Sarah still didn't have a clue, only to see Andrew's face was fierce, which made people look very scared.
After the dance, Sarah hurried back to Mrs. Will, and Andrew followed, and Mrs. Will seemed frightened: "Andrew, why are you here? Are you coming alone?" Andrew said to Mrs. Will in a tone that was not very polite, "Yes, Mrs. Will, I came by myself, and my cousin and his wife have not yet returned to London."
Seeing that Andrew was obviously holding back a wave of anger, Mrs. Will hurriedly played a round: "You go dancing with Sarah! my old bones are only suitable for chatting here", and then hurriedly pulled a few noble ladies to the side. Sarah really didn't know how angry Andrew was, she had never seen such Andrew, and although the look on Andrew's face was terrifying, she listened to Mrs. Will and Andrew returned to the arena to continue dancing.
Andrew whispered as he danced, "It must have been a good thing done by the troublesome Mrs. Will," Sarah still didn't understand. I heard Andrew continue to say angrily, "And Cousin Ingrid" and even Mrs. White was pulled in, which made Sarah even more puzzled.
Sarah wanted to ask what was going on, but Andrew waited for the dance to end and only dropped the sentence "You are beautiful today" and left her alone and walked away, which made Sarah feel very embarrassed and had to hurry to find Mrs. Will. When Mrs. Will saw Sarah come back alone, she put down a boulder in her heart: "Where's Andrew, aren't you dancing?" Sarah said with a puzzled stomach, "Look at Andrew's appearance as if he is angry, I hope I don't annoy him" Mrs. Will comforted Sarah: "Don't worry, young people's tempers always change like this, and it will be fine."
Now that Andrew had gone away, Mrs. Will hurriedly said to James Brown, who was standing aside, "Miss Wood, please do a dance!" James Brown looked so happy that Sarah had to follow him onto the dance floor.
Sarah, who was dancing, unconsciously turned a deaf ear to James's courteous appearance, because she kept recalling Andrew's angry appearance in her mind, she really couldn't understand what Andrew was angry with, and gritted her teeth at him and said, "It must be a good thing done by the eventful Mrs. Will" and "And Cousin Ingrid" What do these two words mean?

Because it is created in Chinese and then translated into English, the correct words in English cannot be translated, Madame can mean "your lady" (representing a contemporary status title), Lord Duke, Lord Earl, Lord Baron, etc., all appear in the novel, sorry, because I asked Google Translate to translate, and I have not been engaged in English writing, I just want to try to express the content of the whole novel in English, please forgive me!! Thank you!!
It is a coincidence that the novel was written in the same era as the writer Jane Austen
