May I know what story books they have read besides the ones we had read togeter in Mackids? I will choose a suitable club for them according to their reading ability.

Candy can come at 10:40am and leave at 12:00pm and I will make up the class for her on Nov. 7th. If that is fine with Candy, then she'll start the class at 10:40pm to 1:20pm on Nov. 7th. If she can finish learning the part that she is going to miss on Oct. 3rd then she'll be able to leave earlier on November 7th.
In this way, she is able to discuss the novel with her classmates, which is the most important part of group learning. The part she is going to miss is the reference book "What Your Fifth Grader Needs to Know."
(*The reference book we are using for the reading club is according to their reading ability, which might be higher level then their actual ages. That is why we use "What Your Fifth Grader Needs to Know"; however, the book we use for writing club is "What Your Third Grader Needs to Know" and the children need to have the book of their own for their self study. Candy will be able to join Writing Club when she turns to a third grader.)

Thank you for sharing the experience with me. There will be two new kids joining us on Sep 19th, this Saturday. One is 4 years old from Nei-hu and the other is six from Tao-Yuan. I have opened two more clubs(8:00am-10:00am; 12:30pm-2:00pm), according to their respective needs. Both of them are Club D members, which means they have to come twice a month; however, we have four children in Club A and two children in writing club now. Therefore, it might be hard for us to change the schedule. Both of them think the new schedule is fine for them. We will see whether it will work for them and also for others who might want to join us in the future. Once again, thank you for your precious suggestion. I do appreciate it a lot! ^ ^

I am sorry about your mother and I hope that she will be fine. I do appreciate your decision and I think it is very wise to do so. To spend time with the family and help each other through difficult time are more important than doing anything else. This is also the spirit that the studio embraces so that children will understand love and learn how to deal with the problems that happen to their lives.
I am sure that Howard will be able to learn family love from you, and I do hope that people have the same spirit as we do. Don't worry about the class. I will post the detail of the class on the website thus Howard will be able to make it up and join the discussion with us on 10/3.

Dear Camilla,
Howard will not be able to attend the Reading Club on 9/5.
We need to go back to Tainan for at least one month to take care of my mom.
My mom needs to have an operation and some treatment and I think this is also a part of the life experience that I wish Howard can learn from it.
Anyway I'll make sure that we won't miss the class on 10/3.
