1.  兩國復交可能帶來中東地區的和平；從而增加了該地區穩定以及世界和平的機率。
2.  在中國斡旋下兩國達成復交協議，自然會增加中國在國際上的聲望和地位；從而彰顯美國在該地區和國際影響力的衰退。
