加薩衝突已近尾聲。

在「中國統一聯盟」所做的一個《回顧與展望》的小型演講中，我曾指出：

「歐巴馬效應」之一是：一方面阿拉伯人或其他弱勢團體要賣他的「(黑)面子」；另一方面他基本上不是資本家或「帝國主義者」的白手套。因此，為了美國社會的整體利益，他會盡力以和平方式解決國際爭端。他也會得到各方面相當程度的合作。這是以色列要在布希下台前試圖將哈馬斯打得趴下去的原因。

我不是很有興趣討論中東議題，但在YOTU論壇上看到很多篇批評以色列的文章後，我忍不住寫了一篇短文。由於我是針對一位外國學者或外國社運者的評論，我的短評也是用英文寫的。其中沒有什麼高深的理論或見解，所以我應該不需要花時間翻譯。

昨天在YOTU論壇上看到林達和張翠容兩位先生(針鋒)相對的觀點。我的觀點和前者相近，但加上了我「生存最大」這個基本假設。

我相當尊重張翠容先生在其他議題的觀點。但在他這篇文章中，我認為他並沒有回答林達先生(和我)所提出的問題：

「以色列作為一個國家是否有生存權？」

我把林、張兩位的大作和我的觀點一併發表於此。歡迎加入討論。

淺談加薩衝突

I am not supporting the state of Israeli per se.

I happen to think a person has every right to seek survival or

prolong his/her life as long as he/she can and at any cost,

including killing the person who tries to kill him/her. In case that

person is no longer able to defend him/her-self, then I'll say it's

too bad, better luck or getting a nuke in your next life.

When someone condemns Israeli's killing, he/she should pay

attention to the fact that the conflict is not between Israeli and

Palestinian at large, rather, it is between Israeli and the faction

who deny the right of existence of the state of Israeli. And follow

my kind of logic or morality, I think the Israeli has every right to

deal with people who is actively doing the denial as long as they

are able to and with every means at their disposal.

When a person's existence is being threatened, as far as I'm

concerned, all bets are off, or, should I say all morality and

hypocrisy are off. I'll strike back lethally if someone tries to kill

me even if the latter has or thinks he/she has the "right" to do so.

It is that simple.
