社群網站臉書（Facebook）的英國分公司去年在英國靠廣告和其他銷售進帳一億五百萬英鎊（約台幣五十三億元），卻用各種避稅和會計手法讓帳面呈現虧損，去年只繳稅四千三百廿七英鎊（約台幣廿二萬元），比英國勞工的平均納稅額還低，引來網友忿忿不平，也為如何確保跨國企業公平繳稅的辯論再添柴火。
臉書英國分部的帳面呈現虧損，是因去年臉書發給英國三百六十二名員工價值三百五十四萬英鎊的股票，達到減稅目的，這項作法導致帳面呈現稅前虧損兩千八百五十萬英鎊。因巨額虧損，臉書只需繳納企業的最低稅負額。
