例:

My goal is to pass the examination at the end of the month.

His intention was to draw everybody's attention.

不定詞片語,置於句首表示目的,以修飾之後原形動詞start起手的命令句.

=If you want to prepare a meal for about 50 guests,(you should) start by calculating how much food you want to prepare per guest.
