Keelung Temple Space (Miaokou) Snacks

Robert：My goodness. This place is packed！

Taike：Well of course! This is the world-renowned Keelung Miaokou night market!

Kitty：Alas, these stands are filthy and stinky; you

probably won't like the food here.

Robert：Not really-actually, the foods here look very...er, interesting! Hey, what's that round stuff

Taike：Oh, that's my favorite greasy rice cake. Right next to it is baked sandwich, and then tempura, oyster omelet, spearfish stew, shrimp and meat stew, shaved ice; and of course the one and only pot side scrapings soup!

Robert：Yummy yummy! I've heard that the tasty

specialties in Keelung include not only snacks, but also seafood and traditional pastries...

Taike：Right. There are fishing ports and fish markets

along the seashore of Keelung, so the seafood here is super fresh. Besides, pastries such as egg yolk shortcake, green bean cake, and pineapple cake are also very famous.

Robert：So should we start with the first stand and eat all along the street

Kitty：There's nothing special about roadside stands,Robert. If you want to sample different kinds of food, why don't you try the buffet restaurant

Robert：But the high-class buffet place you took me to yesterday was both expensive and yucky. The dishes were lukewarm, and who knows how long they had been sitting there.

Taike：There are 200 food stands here, and the market stays open until about 2 or 3 am. Eat to your heart's content, and this round is on me!

基隆廟口小吃

羅波：我的媽呀，真是人擠人！

邰克：當然囉，這裡可是名聞遐邇的基隆廟口夜市呢！

高貴：唉呀，這些小吃攤又髒又臭，你大概吃不慣啦。

羅波：不會呀，其實這裡的東西看起來很…有趣呢！喂，這圓圓的東東是啥？

邰克：啊，那是我最愛的油粿，隔壁這攤是碳烤三明治，再來是天婦羅、蚵仔煎、旗魚羹、蝦仁肉羹、泡泡冰，啊，還有獨一無二的鼎邊銼！

羅波：好吃好吃！聽說基隆好吃的特產除了小吃，還有海鮮和糕餅…

邰克：對呀，基隆海岸沿線有許多漁港和魚市，所以海鮮超新鮮的。這裡的蛋黃酥、綠豆糕、鳳梨酥也都很有名耶！

羅波：那我們要不要從第一攤開始沿路吃呢？

高貴：唉呀，羅波，路邊攤有什麼好吃的，如果你喜歡嘗試多種口味，何不去飯店自助餐？

羅波：可是昨天妳帶我去的高級自助餐又貴又難吃，東西都溫溫的，也不知道擺了多久。

邰克：好，這夜市共有兩百家小吃，營業到凌晨兩、三點，你愛吃什麼就點什麼，這攤全算我的啦！
